Prep Scouts hosted 6 Scouts from Wesley College, 26 Scouts from St. Benedicts College and 9 Girl Scouts from the Colombo District from 18th Oct morning to evening for a first-time experience of a JOTA JOTI Camp.

Scouts engaged in both JOTA Operations via Amateur Radio, JOTI activities via Scoutlink, Video Calls, Crafting a Take-home-Glider with Rylee's Aero Models, Learn about "Scouts for SDGs" in the SDG Zone by 75th Colombo District Rover Crew, the Do's and Don't of Human Rights accompanied by a Booklet by the Youth for Human Rights International organization supported by the UN and physical Scout activities with a modern touch of technology.

Special Thanks to Radio Society of Sri Lanka - Tharanga 4S6TMP, Bharat 4S6ABC, Manoj 4S6TAM, SWL Gayan for coordinating the 4S6STP Amateur Radio Station of Prep Scouts STPS

District Commissioner of Colombo District - Mr. Sampath Wijesinghe and ADC International Commissioner - Mr. Rohitha Steinwall, DSL Basura Ramanayake visited the station and prepscouts hosted Mr. Vinura Thivin Perera, Past President Scout from 42nd Colombo Scout Group for guest lecture facilitated by the Colombo District Scout Branch.

Humble thanks to Rylee's Aero Models for letting our Scouts to experience building a take-home Glider.

Thoughts and prayers are with former DC Mr. Amil and his family 🙏

We are deeply saddened by the passing of our little Miss. Ayathna Abeysundara, beloved daughter of Heshini Samarakoon & Amil Abeysundara (Former District Commissioner - Colombo), loving little sister of Scouts Aadithya & Aayuka and an energetic little member of the 100th Colombo Scout Group.

A free Eye Clinic and Spectacles Donation Programme was organized by Senior Scout Arin Corera as his President's Scout Award Community Service Project on 4th of October 2025 at Sri Diyawanna Purana Viharaya, Nawala. Over 175 spectacles were given for those who are in-need and over 200 eye tests were conducted. The tests were conducted by the Colombo Friend-in-need Society and assisted by a selected Junior, Senior Scouts of 39th Colombo Scout Troop.

Nedungamuwa Maha Vidyalaya has successfully started off the renovation from the partly remitted donation by 39th Colombo Scout Troop after Zonal TO Approval.
