Attorney ar law Manoj Nanayakkara Appointed as Chief Scout Commissioner of the Sri Lanka Scout Association
Attorney at law Manoj Nanayakkara has been appointed as the new Chief Scout Commissioner of the Sri Lanka Scout Association.
This appointment was made by His Excellency the President and Chief Scout of Sri Lanka, Mr. Anura Kumara Dissanayake, in accordance with the provisions of the Sri Lanka Scout Council Act No. 13 of 1957.
The official letter of appointment was presented to Mr. Nanayakkara this afternoon (13) at the Presidential Secretariat by the Secretary to the President, Dr. Nandika Sanath Kumanayake.

Brief Scout Background of Chief Scout Commissioner Attorney Manoj Nanayakkara
1. Joined the Scout Movement in 1989 as a Junior Scout at the 1st Homagama Scout Troop of Christ the King College, Pannipitiya, and served until 1991.
2. Served as a Senior Scout in the same troop from 1991 to 1997.
3. Served as an Assistant Scout Leader from 1998 to 2000 at the 1st Homagama Scout Troop of Christ the King College, Pannipitiya.
4. Served as a Scout Leader from 2000 to 2013 at the same troop.
5. Achieved the Wood Badge, the highest qualification attainable by a Scout Leader in the World Scout Movement.
6. Served as a District Scout Leader attached to the Homagama Scout District from 2012 to 2015.
7. Served as an Assistant District Commissioner of the Homagama Scout District from 2015 to 2020.
8. During his tenure as Assistant District Commissioner, he held responsibilities in multiple subject areas including:

9. Served as Acting District Commissioner of the Homagama Scout District on several occasions between 2015 and 2020.
10. Served as Chairman of the Homagama District Scout Training Board from 2017 to 2020.

12. Led and facilitated numerous national-level Scout programs during 2017–2019.

ශ්රී ලංකා බාලදක්ෂ සංගමයේ නව ප්රධාන බාලදක්ෂ කොමසාරිස් ලෙස නීතිඥ මනෝජ් නානායක්කාර මහතා පත් කර තිබේ.
1957 අංක 13 දරන බාලදක්ෂ පනතේ විධිවිධාන ප්රකාරව ප්රධාන බාලදක්ෂ ජනාධිපති අනුර කුමාර දිසානායක මහතා විසින් මෙම පත් කිරීම සිදු කර ඇත.
ඊට අදාළ පත්වීම් ලිපිය ජනාධිපති ලේකම් ආචාර්ය නන්දික සනත් කුමානායක මහතා විසින් අද (13) පස්වරුවේ ජනාධිපති කාර්යාලයේදී ඒ මහතා වෙත භාර දෙනු ලැබීය.

1. කණිෂ්ඨ බාලදක්ෂයෙකු ලෙස පන්නිපිටිය ක්රිස්තුරාජ විද්යාලිය පළමුවන හෝමාගම බාලදක්ෂ කණ්ඩායමට 1989 වර්ෂයේදී එක් වී 1991 දක්වා කටයුතු කිරීම.
2. එම බාල දක්ෂ කණ්ඩායමේ ජ්යෙෂ්ඨ බාලදක්ෂයෙකු ලෙස 1991-1997 කාලය තුළ කටයුතු කිරීම
3. සහාය බාලදක්ෂ නායකයෙකු (Assistant leader) ලෙස 1998 - 2000 කාලයේ පන්නිපිටි ක්රිස්තුරාජ විද්යාලීය පළමු වන හෝමාගම බාලදක්ෂ කණ්ඩායමේ කටයුතු කිරීම.
4. බාලදක්ෂ නායකයෙකු ලෙස 2000 – 2013 කාලය තුළ පන්නිපිටිය ක්රිස්තුරාජ විද්යාලීය පළමු ව= හෝමාගම බාලදක්ෂ කණ්ඩායමේ කටයුතු කිරීම.
5. ලෝක බාලදක්ෂ ව්යාපාරය තුළ බාලදක්ෂ නායකයෙකුට හිමිකර ගත හැකි ඉහළම පදක්ක හෙවත් බාලදක්ෂ උපාධිය යනුවෙන් හඳුන්වන ලී පදක්කම (Wood Badge) හිමිකරගත් බාලදක් නායකයෙකු වීම.
6. දිස්ත්රික් බාලදක්ෂ නායකයෙකු ලෙස 2012 - 2015 කාලය තුළ හෝමාගම බාලදක්ෂ දිසාව අනුයුක්තව කටයුතු කිරීම.
7. සහය දිසා කොමසාරිස්වරයෙකු ලෙස 2015- 2020 කාලය තුළ හෝමාගම බාලදක්ෂ දිසාව අනුයුක්තව කටයුතු කිරිම.
8. සහාය දිසා කොමසාරිස්වරයෙකු ලෙස කටයුතු කරන කාලය තුළ හෝමාගම බාලදක්ෂ දිසාවේ,
මහජන සම්බන්ධතා සහාය දිසා කොමසාරිස්,

13. 2018 දී හෝමාගම දිසාවේදී පැවති ජාතික ගිල්වෙල් හමුවේ සංවිධායක කමිටු සාමාජිකයෙකු ලෙ කටයුතු කිරීම.
14. 2019 ජාතික මානවක සමුළුවේ සංවිධායක කමිටු සාමාජිකයෙකු ලෙස කටයුතු කිරීම.
15. 2019 ජාතික කබෝරියේ ජාතික සංවිධායක කමිටු සාමාජිකයෙකු ලෙස කටයුතු කිරීම.
16. 2019 මුලතිව් හි දී පැවති ජාතික ගිල්වෙල් හමුවේ සංවිධායක කමිටු සාමාජිකයෙකු ලෙස කටයු
කිරීම.
17. 2015-2020 කාලය තුළ ජාතික බාලදක්ෂ මූලස්ථානයේ "බාල දක්ෂයා " පුවත්පතේ සංස්කර මණ්ඩල සාමාජිකයෙකු ලෙස කටයුතු කිරීම.
