🧶 FREE CROCHET MAKING WORKSHOP – KILINOCHCHI

Light Up Lanka is organising a free hands-on workshop on Crochet Making – Dresses & Flowers.

Tool Piloting Workshop – Kilinochchi District

As part of the “Human Rights in Business and Responsible Business Conduct” project, a Tool Piloting Workshop was successfully conducted in Kilinochchi District(2026.04.18), bringing together government officials and key stakeholders to introduce and strengthen the use of responsible business practices.

Representatives from the Manpower Department, Small Enterprises Development (SED) Department, NEDA, and the Industrial Development Board (IDB) actively participated in the session, exploring how the developed tool can be introduced and utilized through government institutions to support businesses and entrepreneurs.

This initiative aims to promote awareness, accountability, and responsible business practices while strengthening collaboration between government bodies and stakeholders.

The project is funded by the European Union in Sri Lanka and the Maldives and implemented by Chrysalis in collaboration with LightUp Lanka and CSOF- Kilinochchi.

வியாபாரத்தில் மனித உரிமைகள்- செயல்முறை சோதனை பயிற்சி– வவுனியா மாவட்டம்

வணிகத்தில் மனித உரிமைகள் மற்றும் பொறுப்பான வணிக நடைமுறைகள் திட்டத்தின் ஒரு பகுதியாக, 2026.04.17 அன்று வவுனியா மாவட்டத்தில் “கருவி செயல்முறை சோதனைப் பயிற்சி(Tool Piloting Workshop) வெற்றிகரமாக நடைபெற்றது. இந்நிகழ்வில் அரசாங்க அதிகாரிகள் மற்றும் முக்கிய பங்குதாரர்கள் கலந்து கொண்டு, பொறுப்பான வணிக நடைமுறைகளின் பயன்பாட்டை அறிமுகப்படுத்தி வலுப்படுத்தும் முயற்சியில் ஈடுபட்டனர்.

தொழிலாளர் திணைக்களம் (Manpower Department), சிறு தொழில் முனைவோர் அபிவிருத்தித் திணைக்களம் (SED), தேசிய தொழில் முயற்சி அபிவிருத்தி அதிகார சபை (NEDA), மற்றும் தொழில்துறை அபிவிருத்தி சபை (IDB) ஆகியவற்றின் பிரதிநிதிகள் இப்பயிற்சியில் செயற்பாட்டுடன் பங்கேற்று உருவாக்கப்பட்ட கருவியை அரசாங்க நிறுவனங்கள் ஊடாக எவ்வாறு அறிமுகப்படுத்தி, தொழில்கள் மற்றும் தொழில் முனைவோர்களுக்கு ஆதரவாக பயன்படுத்தலாம் என்பதை ஆராய்ந்தனர்.

இந்த முயற்சி, பொறுப்புணர்வு மற்றும் பொறுப்பான வணிக நடைமுறைகள் குறித்த விழிப்புணர்வை மேம்படுத்துவதோடு, அரசாங்க அமைப்புகள் மற்றும் பங்குதாரர்களுக்கிடையிலான ஒத்துழைப்பையும் வலுப்படுத்துவதை நோக்கமாகக் கொண்டுள்ளது.

இந்தத் திட்டத்திற்கு European Union in Sri Lanka and the Maldives நிதியுதவி வழங்குகிறது. மேலும், Chrysalis நிறுவனம், LightUp Lanka மற்றும் வவுனியா மாவட்ட குடிசார் அமைப்பும் (CSOF- Vavuniya) இணைந்து திட்டத்தை நடைமுறைப்படுத்துகிறது.

Human Rights in Business and Responsible Bussiness Context - Vavuniya District

📍Tool Piloting Workshop

Chrysalis, CSOF Vavuniya, and LightUp Lanka successfully conducted a Human Rights in Business (HRB) Tool Piloting Workshop in Vavuniya funded by European Union (EU), engaging 39 participants including SMEs, MSMEs, human rights defenders, and CSOF members.

The session was facilitated by Ms. Dinoja Navarathnarajah, Ms. Subha Kajan, and Mr. Thangesh, who guided participants through key concepts of human rights in the business context and responsible practices.

We were also pleased to have the active participation of representatives from NEDA, SED, the Manpower Department, and IDB, who contributed to meaningful discussions on research finding domains alongside participants.

Together, we continue to strengthen awareness and action towards embedding human rights in business operations for a more equitable and sustainable future.
