Official Statement: SLCAPC’s Stand on National vs Club-Level International Tournaments (India)
To maintain transparency with our players, fans, and stakeholders, SLCAPC wishes to clarify our tournament participation policy:
1. National & International Level Tournaments
SLCAPC engages only with bodies officially recognized by the Government of India. This includes the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, the Paralympic Committee of India, BCCI, and BCCI-recognized affiliates such as DCCI.
2. Club-Level Developmental Matches
Other Indian state clubs, private clubs, or newly formed teams like DAFC, LWCA, PCCI may participate with us only in club-level invitational matches. Such participation is subject to the visiting team agreeing to bear all tournament-related payments.
3. Our Commitment to Players
SLCAPC further clarifies that we never collect any fees from our Sri Lankan players to represent the SLCAPC selected national team.
Recent series including the Indo-Lanka Friendship Cup 2026 ( Lions Wheelchair Cricket Association tour of Sri Lanka), Differently Abled Federation of Cricket India (DAFC) Tour of Sri Lanka (April 2026), and SLCAPC Chairman’s XI vs Para Cticket Club of India (PCCI) Series (November 2025) were organized strictly as International Club-Level Invitational Tournaments to provide match exposure for grassroots-level players, and not as official national team fixtures.
We remain committed to developing para cricket from grassroots to international level with transparency, integrity, and in full compliance with official cricket governing bodies.
