Project Proposal Writing Workshop for WCCs ✊

Dabindu Collective conducted a Project Proposal Writing Workshop on 23 September 2026 at the Katunayake , bringing together representatives from Women’s Community Collectives (WCCs).

The workshop focused on strengthening participants’ knowledge and practical skills in developing clear, effective, and well-structured project proposals. Participants engaged in interactive discussions and practical exercises to enhance their understanding of project planning and proposal development.

The session was facilitated by Ms. Kalani Subasinghe, who served as the resource person for the workshop.❤️✊

ඩාබිඳු සාමූහිකය විසින් 2026 සැප්තැම්බර් 23 වන දින කටුනායක දී කාන්තා ප්‍රජා සාමූහික (Women’s Community Collectives – WCCs) නියෝජිතයන් සඳහා ව්‍යාපෘති යෝජනා ලිවීමේ වැඩමුළුවක් පවත්වන ලදී.

ව්‍යාපෘති යෝජනා පැහැදිලිව, ඵලදායීව සහ නිසි ව්‍යුහයකින් සකස් කිරීම සඳහා අවශ්‍ය දැනුම හා ප්‍රායෝගික කුසලතා වැඩිදියුණු කිරීම මෙම වැඩමුළුවේ අරමුණ විය. සහභාගිවූවන් කණ්ඩායම් සාකච්ඡා සහ ප්‍රායෝගික ක්‍රියාකාරකම් සඳහා ද සක්‍රීයව සහභාගී වූහ.

මෙම වැඩමුළුවේ සම්පත් දායකත්වය කලණි සුබසිංහ මහත්මිය විසින් ලබා දෙන ලදී. ❤️✊

Dabindu Collective ஏற்பாட்டில், 2026 செப்டம்பர் 23ஆம் திகதி கட்டுநாயக்கவில் பெண்கள் சமூகக் கூட்டமைப்புகளின் (Women’s Community Collectives – WCCs)பிரதிநிதிகளுக்கான திட்ட முன்மொழிவு எழுதும் பயிற்சிப் பட்டறை நடைபெற்றது.

தெளிவான, பயனுள்ள மற்றும் முறையான திட்ட முன்மொழிவுகளைத் தயாரிப்பதற்குத் தேவையான அறிவு மற்றும் நடைமுறைத் திறன்களைப் பங்கேற்பாளர்களிடம் மேம்படுத்துவதே இப்பயிற்சிப் பட்டறையின் முக்கிய நோக்கமாகும். பங்கேற்பாளர்கள் குழு கலந்துரையாடல்கள் மற்றும் நடைமுறைச் செயற்பாடுகளிலும் ஆர்வத்துடன் பங்கேற்றனர்.

Pathways to Peace

“ #சமாதானத்துக்கானபயணப்பாதைகள்: உள்வாங்கும் ஆட்சி மற்றும் சமூக ஒத்திசைவைக் கட்டியெழுப்புதல்” திட்டமானது கனடா அரசாங்கத்தால் நிதியளிக்கப்பெற்று அலினியா இன்டர்நேஷனல் நிறுவனத்தினால் நடைமுறைப்படுத்தப்படுகிறது.

இந்தத் திட்டத்தின் கீழ், டாபிந்து கூட்டமைப்பினால் 22 செப்டம்பர் 2026 அன்று வவுனியாவில் பங்குதாரர் கூட்டம் நடத்தப்பட்டது. அரச நிறுவனங்கள், சமூக மற்றும் சிவில் சமூக பிரதிநிதிகள் ஒன்றிணைந்து, பெண்கள் ஆடைத் தொழிலாளர்கள் எதிர்கொள்ளும் சவால்கள் மற்றும் அரச சேவைகளில் காணப்படும் இடைவெளிகள் குறித்து கலந்துரையாடினர்.

Pathways to Peace திட்டத்தின் எமது மானியப் பங்காளர்கள் மற்றும் நிதியளிப்பாளர்களும் இக்கூட்டத்தில் பங்கேற்று, அர்த்தமுள்ள கலந்துரையாடலுக்கும் தொடர்ச்சியான ஒத்துழைப்பிற்கும் பங்களித்தனர்.

இந்த முயற்சி பெண்களின் உரிமைகள், பாதுகாப்பு, பங்கேற்பு மற்றும் சேவைகளுக்கான அணுகலை வலுப்படுத்துவதுடன், இலங்கையின் பெண்கள், சமாதானம் மற்றும் பாதுகாப்பு (WPS NAP) தேசிய செயல் திட்டத்தை முன்னெடுக்கவும் பங்களிக்கிறது.

Stakeholder Meeting – Vavuniya - 22 September 2026

The Peace & Security Fund ( ) is managed by which is funded by the Government of Canada and implemented by Alinea International.

Under the Pathways to Peace initiative, Dabindu Collective conducted a Stakeholder Consultation Meeting in Vavuniya on 22 September 2026, bringing together government, community, and civil society representatives to discuss challenges faced by women garment workers and identify practical solutions.

We were pleased to welcome the participation of our grant partners and donors of Pathways to Peace, strengthening dialogue, collaboration, and collective action towards more gender-responsive services and meaningful access to support for women.

This initiative contributes to Sri Lanka’s National Action Plan on Women, Peace and Security (WPS NAP) by advancing women’s rights, participation, protection, and access to services.

පාර්ශවකරුවන්ගේ සාකච්ඡා හමුව – වවුනියාව - 2026 සැප්තැම්බර් 22

“කාන්තාව සාමය හා ආරක්ෂාව අරමුදල ( ) #සාමයටපියමං ව්‍යාපෘතිය විසින් කළමනාකරණය වේ". #සාමයටපියමං ව්‍යාපෘතියට කැනඩා රජය අරමුදල් සපයන අතර එය ක්‍රියාත්මක කරනු ලබන්නේ ඇලීනියා ඉන්ටනැශනල් විසිනි.

3rd Informal Meeting under the PWP Project – Vavuniya – 20 September 2026

Pathways to Peace
The Peace & Security Fund ( ) is managed by which is funded by the Government of Canada and implemented by Alinea International.

The 3rd Informal Discussion under the Pathways to Peace (PWP) Project was held in Vavuniya on 20 September 2026, bringing together women workers for an open and meaningful discussion.

The discussion created a safe and supportive space for women workers to share their experiences, identify challenges they face in their workplaces and communities, and strengthen their awareness of labour rights.

The session also highlighted the importance of solidarity, collective action, and women’s meaningful participation in building safer, more inclusive, and peaceful communities. ✊🏽💜

PWP திட்டத்தின் கீழ் வவுனியாவில் நடைபெற்ற 3வது முறைசாரா சந்திப்பு – 20.09.2026

பெண் தொழிலாளர்கள் தங்களது பணியிடங்கள் மற்றும் சமூகங்களில் எதிர்கொள்ளும் பிரச்சினைகளைப் பகிர்ந்துகொள்ளவும், தொழிலாளர் உரிமைகள் தொடர்பான தங்களது புரிதலை மேலும் வலுப்படுத்திக்கொள்ளவும் இந்தக் கலந்துரையாடல் பாதுகாப்பான மற்றும் ஆதரவான ஒரு தளத்தை வழங்கியது.

மேலும், ஒற்றுமை, கூட்டுச் செயற்பாடு மற்றும் பெண்களின் அர்த்தமுள்ள பங்கேற்பு ஆகியவற்றின் முக்கியத்துவம் குறித்து கலந்துரையாடப்பட்டதுடன், பாதுகாப்பான, அனைவரையும் உள்ளடக்கிய மற்றும் அமைதியான சமூகங்களை உருவாக்குவதில் பெண்களின் பங்களிப்பை வலுப்படுத்துவதற்கான வாய்ப்புகளும் ஆராயப்பட்டன. ✊🏽💜

එමෙන්ම, සහයෝගීතාව, සාමූහික ක්‍රියාකාරීත්වය සහ කාන්තාවන්ගේ අර්ථවත් සහභාගීත්වය තුළින් වඩාත් ආරක්ෂිත, සියලු දෙනා ඇතුළත් සහ සාමකාමී ප්‍රජාවන් ගොඩනැගීමේ වැදගත්කම පිළිබඳව ද අවධානය යොමු කරන ලදී. ✊🏽💜

Awareness Training on Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV) - 2nd time in Biyagama

Dabindu Collective (DC) conducted the second awareness training on Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV) for apparel sector workers for the second time in the Biyagama area of Gampaha District on 20 September 2026.

This programme was conducted under the FISD Grant, with the aim of strengthening workers’ awareness of SGBV, their rights, available support mechanisms, and the importance of safe, respectful, and violence-free workplaces.

The training included interactive discussions and group activities, providing workers with an opportunity to share their experiences, identify workplace challenges, and collectively discuss issues and concerns related to SGBV.

The session was facilitated by Dabindu Collective staff, creating a safe, inclusive, and participatory space for workers to share their experiences, perspectives, and concerns.

ලිංගික හා ස්ත්‍රී පුරුෂ සමාජභාවය මත පදනම් වූ හිංසනය (SGBV) පිළිබඳ දැනුවත් කිරීමේ පුහුණු වැඩසටහන

ඩාබිඳු සාමූහිකය (DC) විසින් 2026 සැප්තැම්බර් 20 වන දින, ගම්පහ දිස්ත්‍රික්කයේ බියගම ප්‍රදේශයේ ඇඟළුම් කර්මාන්තයේ සේවය කරන කම්කරුවන් සඳහා දෙවන වරටත් ලිංගික හා ස්ත්‍රී පුරුෂ සමාජභාවය මත පදනම් වූ හිංසනය (SGBV) පිළිබඳ දෙවන දැනුවත් කිරීමේ පුහුණු වැඩසටහන පවත්වන ලදී.

මෙම වැඩසටහන FISD ව්‍යපෘතිය යටතේ ක්‍රියාත්මක කරන ලද අතර, SGBV පිළිබඳ කම්කරුවන්ගේ දැනුවත්භාවය වර්ධනය කිරීම, ඔවුන්ගේ අයිතිවාසිකම් සහ පවතින සහාය ලබාගැනීමේ ක්‍රමවේද පිළිබඳ අවබෝධය ශක්තිමත් කිරීම සහ ආරක්ෂිත, ගෞරවාන්විත හා හිංසනයෙන් තොර සේවා පරිසරයක වැදගත්කම අවධාරණය කිරීම මෙහි අරමුණු විය.

වැඩසටහනේදී අන්තර්ක්‍රියාකාරී සාකච්ඡා සහ කණ්ඩායම් ක්‍රියාකාරකම් ද පවත්වන ලද අතර, එමඟින් කම්කරුවන්ට තම අත්දැකීම් බෙදාගැනීමට, සේවා ස්ථානයේදී මුහුණ දෙන අභියෝග හඳුනාගැනීමට සහ SGBV හා සම්බන්ධ ගැටලු හා ගැටලුකාරී තත්ත්වයන් පිළිබඳව සාමූහිකව සාකච්ඡා කිරීමට අවස්ථාව ලැබුණි.

මෙම පුහුණු සැසිය ඩාබිඳු සාමූහිකයේ කාර්ය මණ්ඩලය විසින් මෙහෙයවන ලද අතර, කම්කරුවන්ට තම අත්දැකීම්, අදහස් සහ ගැටලු නිදහසේ බෙදාගැනීමට ආරක්ෂිත, සියලු දෙනා ඇතුළත් කරගත් සහ සහභාගීත්වයෙන් යුත් අවකාශයක් නිර්මාණය කරන ලදී.

பாலியல் மற்றும் பாலின அடிப்படையிலான வன்முறை (SGBV) தொடர்பான விழிப்புணர்வு பயிற்சி

டாபிந்து கூட்டமைப்பினால் (DC), 2026 செப்டம்பர் 20ஆம் திகதி, கம்பஹா மாவட்டத்தின் பியகம பகுதியில் ஆடைத் தொழிற்துறையில் பணிபுரியும் தொழிலாளர்களுக்காக பாலியல் மற்றும் பாலின அடிப்படையிலான வன்முறை (SGBV) தொடர்பான இரண்டாவது விழிப்புணர்வு பயிற்சி நடத்தப்பட்டது.

இந்நிகழ்ச்சி FISD திட்டத்தின் கீழ் நடைமுறைப்படுத்தப்பட்டது. தொழிலாளர்களிடையே SGBV தொடர்பான விழிப்புணர்வை அதிகரித்தல், அவர்களின் உரிமைகள் மற்றும் கிடைக்கக்கூடிய ஆதரவு வழிமுறைகள் தொடர்பான அறிவை வலுப்படுத்தல், அத்துடன் பாதுகாப்பான, கண்ணியமான மற்றும் வன்முறையற்ற பணிச்சூழலின் முக்கியத்துவத்தை வலியுறுத்தல் ஆகியவை இந்நிகழ்ச்சியின் முக்கிய நோக்கங்களாகும்.

பயிற்சியின் ஒரு பகுதியாக கலந்துரையாடல்கள் மற்றும் குழுச் செயற்பாடுகள் இடம்பெற்றன. இதன் மூலம் தொழிலாளர்கள் தங்களது அனுபவங்களைப் பகிர்ந்துகொள்ளவும், பணியிடங்களில் எதிர்கொள்ளும் சவால்களை அடையாளம் காணவும், SGBV தொடர்பான பிரச்சினைகள் மற்றும் கவலைகள் குறித்து கூட்டாகக் கலந்துரையாடவும் வாய்ப்பு கிடைத்தது.

இப்பயிற்சி அமர்வு டாபிந்து கூட்டமைப்பின் பணியாளர்களால் வழிநடத்தப்பட்டது. தொழிலாளர்கள் தங்களது அனுபவங்கள், கருத்துக்கள் மற்றும் கவலைகளை சுதந்திரமாகப் பகிர்ந்துகொள்ளும் வகையில் பாதுகாப்பான, அனைவரையும் உள்ளடக்கிய மற்றும் பங்கேற்பு மிக்க சூழல் உருவாக்கப்பட்டது.

Dabindu Collective at the UN Responsible Business and Human Rights Forum – Asia-Pacific, Bangkok

We are proud to share that Ms. Yasara Weerathunga, Manager – Programs at Dabindu Collective, participated as a speaker in the session “Closing Gaps in Accountability and Protection: Gender-Responsive Solutions from Women Workers in Supply Chains.”

Held on 16 September 2026 in Bangkok, the session created an important space for regional and international voices to discuss gender-responsive solutions, accountability, protection, and the rights of women workers across supply chains.

Bringing insights from Dabindu Collective’s grassroots work, Ms. Yasara Weerathunga contributed to the conversation by highlighting the experiences, challenges, and voices of women workers, and the importance of ensuring that accountability and protection mechanisms are responsive to their realities.

Dabindu Collective at the UN Responsible Business and Human Rights Forum – Asia-Pacific, Bangkok

We are proud to share that Ms. Chamila Thushari Chamila Thushari , Executive Director of Dabindu Collective, participated as a speaker at the session “Organizing Beyond the Factory Gate: Community-Based Monitoring, Worker Voice and Access to Remedy in Garment Supply Chains.”

The session, held on 16 September 2026 in Bangkok, provided an important platform to discuss how workers and communities can strengthen their voices, monitor labour rights issues, and improve access to effective remedy across garment supply chains.

Drawing from Dabindu Collective’s grassroots experience, Ms. Chamila Thushari shared perspectives on the realities faced by garment workers and the importance of worker participation, collective action, community engagement, and meaningful access to justice and remedy.
