On the sacred occasion of Poson Poya 2026, the students and staff of Mahamaya Girls’ College, Kandy assembled with devotion to observe the Yasodara Thereni Vandana. The Buddha shrine was reverently adorned with jasmine, lotus, kapuru, and blue water lilies as offerings of faith. The ceremony stood as a reflection of reverence, unity, and merit shared with all beings. May the blessings of this noble act be realized by all.

An unforgettable evening of timeless melodies, legendary voices, and musical brilliance came alive at the Mahamaya College Auditorium on 13th June 2026.

Featuring the iconic voices of Amarasiri Peiris and Sunil Edirisinghe, alongside the captivating Umaria Sinhawansa, with musical direction by Mahinda Bandara and hosted by Kelum Srimal, Maya Suyamaya 2026 brought together music lovers for a truly magical experience.

Organized by the Mahamaya College Kandy Old Girls’ Association, this memorable concert celebrated the beauty of Sri Lankan music, friendship, and community spirit.

Mahamaya Girls' College Vesak Zone was packed with light and meaning. Students held lantern competitions with hundreds of handmade designs, built pandols that lit up Jataka stories, and kept Bathi Gee playing through the night. Dansal stalls and free giveaways welcomed everyone who came. It all came together as a memorial for the Buddha’s birth and Parinirvana.
