The Inner Wheel Club of Katugastota actively participated in a medical camp organized by the Rotary Club of Katugastota and the Centre for Handicapped.
This initiative aimed to provide accessible healthcare services to residents in and around the Kundasale area. The camp offered a range of services, including general medical check-ups, eye examinations (with reading glasses provided), blood sugar testing, and basic health screenings.
Qualified medical professionals and volunteers ensured efficient service delivery, while free medicines were distributed to all patients based on their needs. The event was meticulously planned, featuring community outreach, registration, and organized service stations to ensure a smooth flow and maximum participation. Approximately 200 individuals benefited from the camp, receiving timely medical attention and health advice. This project significantly enhanced community health awareness and well-being.

The Inner Wheel Club of Katugastota provided dry rations and vegetables as well as a helping hand to a community kitchen that rises in compassion for those struck by disaster in Kandy town. In a time when even water is scarce, this kitchen becomes a beacon of hope—serving warm, cooked meals to those who have lost so much, reminding them that they are not forgotten.

Held on the 26th of October 2025, at Hotel Thilanka Kandy, this glamorous evening brought together individuals who boldly embraced their uniqueness and redefined beauty beyond stereotypes. The event was not just a celebration of style, but also a meaningful initiative — with all proceeds directed towards our charitable projects ❤️

The Inner Wheel Club of Katugastota, together with the Rotary Club of Katugastota, celebrated Children’s Day at Senkadagala Weerodara Vidyalaya, Watapuluwa.

Children’s Day was celebrated by providing a midday meal and ice cream to the students, bringing joy and smiles to the children on this special occasion.

The students entertained everyone with their beautiful dancing and singing.

Clean-up Sri Lanka Project – Polgolla Dam

On the 20th of September 2025, the Inner Wheel Club of Katugastota was proud to be part of the Clean-up Sri Lanka initiative, joining hands with the Rotary Club of Katugastota, the Rotaractors of the Katugastota Region, and Interactors for a meaningful environmental project.

The project took place at the Polgolla Dam, an important landmark and water resource in the region. Unfortunately, like many public spaces, the area had been affected by pollution and improper waste disposal. Recognizing the need for collective action, members from all partnering organizations came together with one goal – to restore the natural beauty of the surroundings and raise awareness on environmental responsibility.
