~14th March 2026

The Kandy Muslim Traders Association (KMTA) is grateful to share a meaningful step taken to support those affected by the Ditwah Disaster.

With the generous support of Kandy’s business community and well-wishers, 20 self-employed entrepreneurs and small business owners from Kandy, Penideniya, Geliouya, Kalugamuwa, and Gampola received essential assistance to help them restart their livelihoods after the floods.

This initiative focuses on supporting self-employed individuals who lost their businesses, many of whom are responsible for supporting their families and employees. While this support cannot fully replace what they have lost, it is a sincere effort to help them rebuild and move forward.

This is only the beginning. KMTA hopes to raise more funds to support additional affected entrepreneurs, because when a small business recovers, an entire community benefits.

A heartfelt thank you to all traders, donors, and supporters who made this possible. We welcome others who wish to join and contribute to this meaningful initiative.

Together, we rise.

Flood Relief Initiative – YBC

In the wake of the recent floods, many families have lost not only their homes but also the essential items needed for daily worship. Through this initiative, we provided Holy Qur’ans, prayer mats, and prayer attire, helping to restore comfort, dignity, and spiritual strength to the affected communities.

🙏 Our Sincere Gratitude to All Donors
We extend our heartfelt thanks to all generous donors and well-wishers who contributed to this cause. Your kindness, compassion, and timely support made this initiative possible and brought relief and hope to families in need. May Allah (SWT) reward every contribution abundantly.

When a business falls, a family falls with it.
The recent floods have pushed many self-entrepreneurs to the edge, losing their income overnight.
But together, we can revive their businesses, restore hope, and rebuild our local economy.
🤝 Your small contribution can restart someone’s entire future.
📢 Please donate & share. Let’s lift our entrepreneurs back on their feet.
