💌 Letter to a leaving student...
Today the dojang feels different.
We no longer hear your greeting upon arrival 👋,
not even the echo of your beats hitting hard.
Your seat in the queue is empty...
but the space you left in the memory of the teacher, that is still full. ❤️
Sometimes teachers don't say,
but it feels — it feels a lot—
when a student who grew up here takes another path.
I will remember your falls, your achievements, your laughter,
the times you doubted yourself and the times you stood up stronger.
Because that's wushu... ☯️ not just hits and medals, but growth, character and soul. 🔥
Thank you for all that you gave,
to leave your energy in every workout
and for reminding me why I love teaching.
Wherever you go...
may life meet you with the same determination you trained with here. 👊
