The Children and Youth Major Group to the UN Environment Programme is organizing an online forum for children on “Children at Multilateralism.” They are inviting children from countries in Asia and the Pacific for a special session where children can share their ideas about the environment, learn about how decisions should include children, and hear from other young changemakers.

If you know children under 18 and care about nature, climate, and their future, this is their chance to be heard at the Asia-Pacific Youth Environment Forum!

🌍 World Environment Day 2025 | Beat Plastic Pollution 🌿

At the Centre for Children’s Happiness (CCH) and our Nature Appreciation Clubs (NAC), we join the global call to take urgent action against plastic pollution — this year’s World Environment Day theme. And rightly so.

Plastic pollution is choking our planet:
🚫 Clogging rivers
🚫 Polluting our oceans
🚫 Killing wildlife
🚫 Harming human health — from our brains to breastmilk

From the peaks of Everest to the depths of the ocean, plastic has infiltrated every part of our world. But we refuse to stand still.

💚 Through our Nature Appreciation Clubs in schools and communities across Sri Lanka, we are:
✅ Educating children and youth on the harms of plastic
✅ Organizing clean-up drives
✅ Promoting reusable habits
✅ Empowering eco-leadership

🌱 Change is happening — through awareness, action, and stronger policies. But we must go further, faster.

In just two months, global leaders will meet to finalize a historic treaty to end plastic pollution. We stand with every child, family, and nature defender calling for:
🌐 A treaty that covers the full life cycle of plastic
🌍 A circular economy that puts people and the planet first
🌿 A future free of single-use plastic

Let’s unite — communities, children, and countries — to build a cleaner, greener world.

Together, we can beat plastic pollution. 💪🌎
