Strengthening Land Mediation for Peaceful Communities
On 9th and 10th May 2026, the Centre for Youth and Social Development (CEYSD) successfully conducted two Capacity Building Workshops for Land Mediation Board Members under the "Civic Action for Empowerment, Justice and Governance in Sri Lanka" project.
The workshops brought together 38 newly appointed Land Mediation Board Members to strengthen their knowledge and practical skills in land mediation, dialogue, and peaceful dispute resolution. Through interactive sessions and practical discussions, participants enhanced their understanding of mediation processes, legal frameworks, ethical responsibilities, and community-based conflict resolution approaches.
The initiative recorded a 48% increase in participants' knowledge, reflecting the positive impact of the training and the importance of investing in local justice mechanisms.
By strengthening the capacities of Land Mediation Boards, CEYSD continues to promote peaceful communities, equitable access to justice, and inclusive local governance across Sri Lanka.
Together, we are building stronger institutions and resolving conflicts through dialogue.
සාමකාමී ප්රජාවක් සඳහා ඉඩම් මැදිහත්වීම් ශක්තිමත් කරමු
2026 මැයි 9 සහ 10 යන දිනවල, මධ්යස්ථ යෞවන හා සමාජ සංවර්ධන මධ්යස්ථානය (CEYSD) විසින් "ශ්රී ලංකාවේ පුරවැසි ක්රියාකාරිත්වය, යුක්තිය සහ යහපාලනය සවිබල ගැන්වීම" ව්යාපෘතිය යටතේ ඉඩම් මැදිහත්වීම් මණ්ඩල සාමාජිකයින් සඳහා ධාරිතා සංවර්ධන වැඩමුළු සාර්ථකව පවත්වන ලදී.
මෙම වැඩමුළුවලදී නව පත්වීම් ලැබූ ඉඩම් මැදිහත්වීම් මණ්ඩල සාමාජිකයින් 38 දෙනෙකු ඉඩම් ආරවුල් සාමකාමීව විසඳීම, මැදිහත්වීමේ ක්රියාපටිපාටි, නීතිමය රාමුව, සදාචාරාත්මක වගකීම් සහ ප්රජා මට්ටමේ සංවාද මඟින් ගැටලු විසඳීම පිළිබඳ දැනුම හා කුසලතා වර්ධනය කර ගත්හ.
මෙම පුහුණුවේ ප්රතිඵලයක් ලෙස සහභාගී වූවන්ගේ දැනුම 48% කින් ඉහළ ගොස් ඇති අතර, සාමකාමී ගැටුම් නිරාකරණය සහ යුක්තියට ප්රවේශය ශක්තිමත් කිරීම සඳහා මෙවැනි වැඩසටහන්වල වැදගත්කම තහවුරු විය.

அமைதியான சமூகங்களுக்காக நில மத்தியஸ்தத்தை வலுப்படுத்துவோம்
2026 மே 9 மற்றும் 10 ஆகிய தினங்களில், இளைஞர் மற்றும் சமூக அபிவிருத்தி மையம் (CEYSD), "இலங்கையில் குடிமக்கள் செயற்பாடு, நீதி மற்றும் நல்லாட்சியை வலுப்படுத்துதல்" திட்டத்தின் கீழ் நில மத்தியஸ்த சபை உறுப்பினர்களுக்கான திறன் மேம்பாட்டு பயிற்சி நிகழ்ச்சிகளை வெற்றிகரமாக நடத்தியது.
இந்த பயிற்சியில் புதிதாக நியமிக்கப்பட்ட 38 நில மத்தியஸ்த சபை உறுப்பினர்கள் கலந்து கொண்டு, நிலத் தகராறுகளை அமைதியான முறையில் தீர்ப்பது, மத்தியஸ்த நடைமுறைகள், சட்ட அடிப்படை, ஒழுக்கப் பொறுப்புகள் மற்றும் சமூக உரையாடல் மூலம் முரண்பாடுகளைத் தீர்ப்பதற்கான திறன்களை மேம்படுத்திக் கொண்டனர்.
இந்த பயிற்சியின் மூலம் பங்கேற்பாளர்களின் அறிவு 48% அதிகரித்தது, இது சமூக மட்டத்தில் நீதி, நல்லாட்சி மற்றும் அமைதியான முரண்பாடு தீர்வை வலுப்படுத்துவதில் இத்தகைய முயற்சிகளின் முக்கியத்துவத்தை வெளிப்படுத்துகிறது.
