Alliance Development Trust Alliance Development Trust (ADT) is the relief and development arm of the National Christian Evangelical Alliance of Sri Lanka (NCEASL).

ADT facilitates community-based programmes and social welfare programmes in order to improve the quality of life for victims of war and natural disasters, socially marginalised groups such as HIV and AIDS infected and affected persons, those living with Leprosy and other vulnerable persons including women and children. ADT implements its projects through structured and integrated programme sectors

under the broad categories of Humanitarian Aid and Community Development. ADT is committed to international standards of good practice and conduct and its response will conform to such recognised standards such as the Sphere code of conduct and People in Aid.

We are inviting school leaders and teachers to a free briefing session on a 1-year comprehensive online teacher training programme designed to help students overcome academic and behavioural challenges.

This programme includes:
* 15+ practical topics (screening, behaviour, literacy, attention, etc.)
* up to 25 hours of training with workshops and mentorship
* Ready-to-use tools and classroom resources

Good news: This training is fully sponsored for Sri Lankan schools by Grace Light Foundation (limited slots).

The ELEVATE Jaffna 2026 Public Fair was successfully held on 18 March at Sanglian Park, Nallur, bringing together communities, entrepreneurs, and partners in a vibrant celebration of local innovation and collaboration.

Organised by Alliance Development Trust (ADT) with Jaffna Social Action Centre (JSAC), the fair showcased products from agriculture and fisheries-based entrepreneurs, alongside valuable sessions on SME development, financial literacy, and export readiness.

Participants also accessed SRHR information and mobile health services, while Women in Need (WIN) raised awareness on gender-based violence and support services. A powerful youth drama performance further highlighted gender equality and addressed SRHR myths and misconceptions within the communities.

Part of the ELEVATE 2026 series, this event celebrated community resilience, women’s empowerment, and inclusive development in Jaffna. It was conducted under the PBF project funded by the UN SDG and implemented in partnership with ILO, , and UNESCO in Sri Lanka.

On March 17, 2026, a powerful joint advocacy dialogue took place in Jaffna District, uniting local government stakeholders, community leaders, and reps to address social cohesion, sexual & reproductive health rights (SRHR), and gender equality in agriculture & fisheries sectors.

It fostered empathy, networks, and collaborative solutions for sustainable, inclusive livelihoods, creating a safe space for meaningful discussions on community challenges.

The ELEVATE Batticaloa 2026 Public Fair was successfully held on 15 March 2026 at Sri Murugan Grounds, Kalladi Bridge, Batticaloa, bringing together community members, entrepreneurs, local authorities, and development partners.

Organised by Alliance Development Trust (ADT) in partnership with Group Action for Social Order (GAFSO), the event showcased the achievements of community leaders and small-scale entrepreneurs from the agriculture and fisheries sectors, highlighting vegetables, value-added native food products, handicrafts, and other local innovations.

The fair also featured Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) information and mobile clinical services, offered by the Regional Director of Health Services (RDHS) and the Family Planning Association (FPA) in Batticaloa, providing viewers with access to health awareness and essential services.

In addition, government institutions, banks, and support organisations shared information on SME development, financial literacy, gender-based violence awareness, and available community services, creating a vibrant platform for learning, collaboration, and opportunity.

Together, the event celebrated community resilience, inclusive development, and social cohesion in Batticaloa.

ELEVATE Badulla 2026 – Public Fair Successfully Concluded 🌿

The ELEVATE Badulla 2026 Public Fair was successfully held on 07 March 2026 at the Dutch Fort, Badulla, organized by ADT’s local partner OECRP in Badulla.

The event was conducted as part of the ongoing UN PBF Project implemented by UNFPA, ILO, and UNESCO, which focuses on strengthening local communities through sustainable development initiatives.

Under this project, ADT, as the implementing partner of UNFPA, carried out a series of capacity-building trainings and advocacy dialogues with local government authorities and community leaders and entrepreneurs in the agriculture and plantation sectors in Badulla. These initiatives aimed to promote:
✔️ Social Cohesion
✔️ Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR)
✔️ Gender Equality

The event featured small and medium-scale entrepreneurs engaged in agriculture and related livelihoods. Participants showcased a diverse range of products including vegetables, plants, clothing, handloom items, batik products, spices, and Ayurvedic goods. Among the vendors were community leaders who had previously participated in training programs and advocacy dialogues.

The Public Fair served as a platform to showcase community initiatives, strengthen partnerships, and celebrate the leadership of local entrepreneurs and community leaders who are contributing to inclusive and sustainable development in the Badulla district.

We extend our appreciation to all partners, local authorities, community leaders, and participants who contributed to making this event a meaningful success.
This fair was done in partnership with the UN SDG Fund, ILO, UNESCO, UNFPA.
