We distributed livelihood support items to women-headed families in Kinniya to strengthen their capacity to establish and sustain income-generating activities.

The distribution aimed to provide these families with the resources needed to build stable livelihoods, reduce economic vulnerability and support long-term self-reliance.

We conducted a stakeholder coordination meeting in Kolonnawa with representatives from the Divisional Secretariat Office, Masjid Federation, course-providing institutions, the coordination committee and other key stakeholders to strengthen collaboration for livelihood interventions.

The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss programme implementation, stakeholder roles, coordination mechanisms and approaches to support sustainable livelihood opportunities for targeted communities.

This initiative contributes to Sustainable Development Goal 1 (No Poverty) and SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) by supporting sustainable livelihoods and income-generating opportunities, while the stakeholder coordination contributes to SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) through strengthened collaboration among key partners.

We conducted a training and climate resilience consultation workshop for agriculture farmers to strengthen their understanding and capacity to adopt climate-resilient crop cultivation practices.

The workshop focused on developing hazard profiles, cropping calendars and Information, Education and Communication (IEC) materials to support farmers in making informed decisions and adapting agricultural practices to climate-related risks.

This intervention contributes to Sustainable Development Goal 2 (Zero Hunger) by supporting resilient and productive agricultural practices, and SDG 13 (Climate Action) by strengthening farmers’ capacity to adapt to climate-related impacts.
