History has shown us examples that a single person’s genuine concern to serve others coupled with a sustained effort, can turn into a reality and a movement of its own. What happened to be a series of social service efforts by one person, based out of Welawatte Jummah Mosque in Colombo 6, in 2006 ended up with 3 others joining in for ad-hoc support for the needy by sharing a portion of their perso

nal wealth, a year later. Zam Zam Foundation today is 09 years old and it took almost 7 years of organic growth followed by a coordinated, year-round effort in the last 2 years lead by the current Chairperson Mufthi Yoosuff Haniffa. Today, with the grace of the Almighty, we are a mix of youth and the old, professionals and businessmen, clergy and laymen, all committed to help the needy in Sri Lanka, regardless of their faith, ethnicity or regional backgrounds.
