OREPA is a brethren of Engineers, Architects, Quantity Surveyors and like professionals who are old Royalists. Having clearly recognized the potential in the field of engineering and technology with its plethora of dynamic and diverse areas of specializations, OREPA thrives to promote innova

tion, sustainability and youth empowerment. However, students and the youth, in general, are rarely exposed to these vibrant and rapidly developing technological forefronts until much later in their careers. Hence, OREPA seeks to take a pioneering role to discover new directions for students to follow, and facilitate their involvement and advancement, within and beyond Royal College. OREPA, as a host of technical experts in many facets of engineering and related fields, expects to empower this master plan towards sustainability, sharing their prowess to uplift each focus area including sustainable air, water, soil and bio-diversity, sustainable energy, sustainable manufacturing and production, sustainable construction, sustainable agriculture and fisheries, sustainable transportation and tourism and like technological advances. More importantly, OREPA will open up a reservoir of knowledge, technical expertise and material support in the fields of engineering, architecture and related fields for the benefit of the students and the youth. Based on these broader objectives, OREPA is looking forward to become a key stakeholder of the Royal College and the community, continuously working towards the betterment of the society. The congregation is led by an Executive Committee headed by OREPA President.

Pasan Wanigasekara takes office as Secretary of the Royal College Union.

Mr. Pasan Wanigasekara is a seasoned corporate leader with extensive international experience across Asia Pacific, Europe, and North America. He previously served as Director, Asia Pacific Business at a subsidiary of Moody's Corporation, where he gained expertise in corporate strategy, mergers and acquisitions, business development, operational optimization, digitization, and legal affairs.

Following his tenure at Moody's, he advised several Fortune 500 companies and Asia-based private equity funds on investment analysis, mergers and acquisitions and operational transformation, while also practicing as an Attorney-at-Law. He later served as the Director General of the Board of Investment of Sri Lanka until January 2022. Since then, he has continued his work as a business consultant and has served on the boards of several leading companies across the finance, leisure, automobile, agriculture, R&D, sustainable energy, and manufacturing sectors.

He currently serves as an Independent Non-Executive Director of John Keells PLC, Union Assurance PLC, Abans Finance PLC, and Pinnacle Distribution Lanka (Pvt) Ltd.

His association with the Royal College Union spans nearly three decades, during which he has served in numerous leadership roles, including Deputy Chairman of EDEX, Assistant Secretary of the LPMC, Secretary of the Academic and Skills Development Advisory Committee, Treasurer and Secretary of OGACO, Joint Secretary of the Hayman Organising Committee, Secretary of the Smart School Implementation Committee, and most recently, Assistant Secretary of the Royal College Union.

Mr. Wanigasekara graduated from the University of Moratuwa as a Computer Science Engineer. He is also a Chartered Management Accountant, a Chartered Financial Accountant, a Chartered Marketer, and an Attorney-at-Law.

Please join us in congratulating and welcoming Mr. Wanigasekara as the new Secretary of the Royal College Union. We wish him every success as he takes on this important role in leading, inspiring, and serving the College and its fraternity.
