TO SEE IS TO OWN
The colonial infrastructure of Mannar wasn't built to decay. It was built to project absolute, unbroken power over the landscape. I will be presenting my ongoing visual investigation into the remnants of British and Dutch rule in the north. This project approaches these crumbling forts and survey towers not as romantic heritage, but as obsolete specimens of hubris being quietly erased by the harsh coastal scrub.
📅 Date: Saturday, 04 April 2026 🕓 Time: 4:00 PM 📍 Location: PSSL Premises, Lionel Wendt Memorial Art Centre, Colombo 7 🎟️ Admission: Free. All are welcome.
Presented as part of my MA in Photography at Falmouth University.
