International Day of the Victims of Enforced Disappearances

The Karaṇīya Mettā Sutta calls us to extend boundless care to all beings. On this day, that means recognising that the pain of families searching for the disappeared cannot be treated as someone else’s sorrow. Their grief places a responsibility on all of us to listen, remember and care.
