The AmCham BootCamp 2026 Internship Program, in partnership with the U.S. Embassy in Sri Lanka, in collaboration with HSBC, together with our Strategic Partner, Sysco LABS, and Knowledge Partner, Luminary Learning Solutions, continued with an insightful visit to the U.S. Embassy in Colombo.

The visit featured an engaging session with Mr. Zack Bailey, Economic Chief at the U.S. Embassy in Sri Lanka, who shared his professional experiences and expertise, including valuable insights into bilateral trade relations between the United States and Sri Lanka, as well as U.S. support extended to Sri Lanka, particularly in the areas of economic development and community initiatives. The session opened the floor for an engaging exchange, with mentees actively asking questions and gaining perspectives through an interactive discussion.

We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to Mr. Zack Bailey for sharing his experiences and engaging with our mentees, and to Ms. Roshini Peiris, Economic Specialist – Macroeconomics, U.S. Embassy in Sri Lanka, for her support in making this visit a meaningful experience.

The AmCham BootCamp 2026 Internship Program, in partnership with the U.S. Embassy in Sri Lanka, in collaboration with HSBC , together with our Strategic Partner, Sysco LABS, and Knowledge Partner, Luminary Learning Solutions, continued with Mentee Workshop – Day 7, featuring an engaging session on Personal Effectiveness.

Led by Mr. Anton Thayalan, CEO of Luminary Learning Solutions, the session explored eight key areas of personal effectiveness, providing mentees with practical insights to better understand themselves and strengthen their effectiveness in both personal and professional settings.

Through interactive discussions and engaging activities, mentees were encouraged to reflect on their own strengths, behaviours, and approaches, while gaining valuable perspectives they can apply throughout their career journeys.

A sincere thank you to Mr. Anton Thayalan and Luminary Learning Solutions for an insightful and interactive session that encouraged our mentees to reflect, learn, and grow.

The AmCham BootCamp 2026 Internship Program, in partnership with the U.S. Embassy in Sri Lanka, in collaboration with HSBC together with our Strategic Partner, Sysco LABS, and Knowledge Partner, Luminary Learning Solutions, continued with another engaging session focused on leadership and professional growth.

The session, “The 12 Realms of Being a Legacy Leader,” was conducted by Lakshan Madurasinghe, CEO of Solutions Ground (Pvt) Ltd. Drawing on his own professional experiences and insights, Lakshan encouraged mentees to reflect on what it means to become a leader who creates a lasting impact.

Through an engaging discussion, participants explored the qualities, mindset, and values that contribute to becoming a legacy leader, while gaining practical perspectives they can apply throughout their own career journeys.
