A productive and insightful PASCH school visit to Jennings International School, Negombo

Class observations were carried out for both German teachers, providing valuable insights into classroom practices, student engagement, and German language learning.

We also had a fruitful dialogue with the Chairman and Principal on the school’s ongoing collaboration with PASCH and discussed upcoming activities and opportunities to further strengthen German language learning and cultural exchange.

A big thank you to the school leadership and German teachers for the warm welcome and continued commitment to the PASCH programme!

Meet Venuja Bathisa, who is pursuing his studies in Economics and Computer Science at the University of Bonn, Germany.

In this video, Venuja shares his experience with the PASCH Network, the Goethe-Institut, and learning German — and how these experiences have supported his journey towards studying in Germany.

Meet Rehan Kulasekera, an alumnus of Royal College and a former intern at the Goethe-Institut.

Through the PASCH Network and his journey with the Goethe-Institut, Rehan has gained valuable experiences that have helped shape his path forward.

Now, he is preparing to begin his studies in Automotive Engineering (Fahrzeugtechnik) at Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt in Germany.

In this video, Rehan shares his experience with the PASCH Network, the Goethe-Institut, and learning German — and how these experiences have contributed to his journey towards studying in Germany.

It was a great pleasure to welcome the German learning students of Ballakatuwa Sri Sugatha Madhya Maha Vidyalaya, Ella, who visited Goethe-Institut Colombo on 3rd September 2026, accompanied by their Principal Mr. A.A.B.Aruna Shanth and the german teacher Ms. Nadeeka Dissanayaka.
For many of the students, this was their first visit to the institute, offering them the opportunity to explore our institute, including the library, and gain first-hand insights into German language learning opportunities. It was a pleasure to host the group and conduct an interactive session, and we were delighted by their enthusiasm and curiosity. We wish them every success in their German learning journey.

DEUTSCH GELERNT. ABENTEUER ERLEBT. FÜHRUNG GELERNT. ERINNERUNGEN GESCHAFFEN.

Three days filled with adventure, challenges, laughter, teamwork and unforgettable moments!

From 26 to 29 August, our school leavers came together for an inspiring Leadership Outbound Training — taking learning beyond the classroom and into an environment of adventure, teamwork and personal growth.

Through challenging activities and shared experiences, our young participants stepped out of their comfort zones, discovered new strengths and developed essential leadership skills such as communication, courage, responsibility, resilience and teamwork.

As part of the PASCH initiative – Schools: Partners for the Future, this training was more than just an adventure camp. It was an opportunity to empower young people, strengthen connections within the PASCH community and inspire them to become the future leaders of tomorrow.

Because leadership begins with the courage to challenge yourself, the willingness to work with others, and the confidence to make a difference.
