The Oblate Missions - Charity Organisation The OBLATE MISSIONS is a new division within the Congregation of the Oblates of Mary Immaculate (OMI), Province of Colombo, Sri Lanka.

The OBLATE MISSIONS is a new division within the Congregation of the Oblates of Mary Immaculate (OMI), Province of Colombo, Sri Lanka, and established in January 2014. It was launched on 08th January by Very Rev Fr Rohan Silva OMI, Provincial of the Oblates, Colombo Province. The purpose and goals of the Office of the Oblate Missions is clearly defined with a strong call to laypeople to volunteer

in strengthening and developing the church, its mission and projects. The role and involvement of the lay people in assisting the Catholic Church is vital and to ensure that the Church as a whole would expand and advance to reach out to peoples from all walks of life.
