27 years after his assassination, Dr. Neelan Tiruchelvam's values continue to guide us.

We honour his life not by remembrance alone, but by supporting those that work to promote and protect the values to which he dedicated his life. A steadfast advocate for democracy, human rights, pluralism and an independent civil society, Neelan believed that lasting peace could only be built by protecting civic space, upholding the rule of law, and safeguarding the dignity of every person.

📢 "Kanishka Werawella's research finds that Sri Lanka's 2022 income tax reform reduced work hours among affected formal sector workers, while households compensated by increasing labour participation. The study also reveals gendered constraints in labour supply responses and evidence of a shift toward informal employment.
