💙 Celebrating World Children’s Day with Love & Giving 💙
In celebration of World Children’s Day, the Inner Wheel Club of Colombo, District 322, was delighted to undertake a special project at Sarvodaya Suwasetha Pre-School, Moratuwa.
As part of this initiative, we donated:
📚 A book storage rack
🍼 A bottle storage rack
📝 A medium-sized whiteboard
The children were also treated to milk and biscuits for their playtime, bringing smiles and a little extra joy to their day. 🥛🍪❤️
It was heartwarming to see how these simple contributions can create a more comfortable and stimulating environment for young minds to learn, explore and grow.
🌱 A truly rewarding project, celebrating World Children’s Day by investing in brighter beginnings for our children.
Every child deserves the opportunity to learn, dream and flourish. 💙🌈

A movie for a cause. A little kindness for tomorrow 🌹

The Inner Wheel Club of Colombo, District 322 held a Charity Fundraiser with a special movie screening in aid of Shelter4Homeless. 🎬💛

The fundraiser aims to support the elderly residents of Shelter4Homeless by providing beds and mattresses — essential comforts that contribute to their dignity, wellbeing and quality of daily life.

“Kindness is not measured by how much we give, but by how much we care.” ❤️

Together, we turned an enjoyable evening into an opportunity to make a meaningful difference. Every contribution, big or small, helps bring comfort, care and dignity to those who need it most.

A heartfelt thank you to all our generous patrons, supporters and friends who supported this event 🙏

🌿

The Inner Wheel Club of Colombo was delighted to be part of a meaningful joint initiative with WNPS PLANT and the Trust for Eco Reforestation, supporting the preservation and restoration of the beautiful Lunuganga Estate — the heritage property of renowned Sri Lankan architect Geoffrey Bawa.

Our visit offered members a wonderful opportunity to discover Bawa’s vision and the unique harmony he created between nature, landscape, art and architecture.

As part of the project, the Club contributed towards the restoration and reforestation efforts and members took part in a tree-planting activity, making a hands-on contribution to the conservation of this precious heritage landscape. 🌱

The day was also filled with learning, friendship and fellowship as members travelled together, explored the gardens and shared a delightful lunch.

A truly memorable Inner Wheel project — bringing together service, environmental responsibility, heritage conservation and fellowship.

🌱 Together, we grow and flourish — preserving our heritage for generations to come. 💚

🧵✨ Ma Sevana Sewing Project – Prize Giving ✨🧵

The Ma Sevana Sewing Project was completed and participants have developed valuable sewing and dressmaking skills that can support their future independence and livelihoods.

Looking ahead, IWCC is excited to welcome nine students, together with the Matron, for the upcoming saree jacket classes as the programme continues to expand its practical training opportunities.

To support the next phase of learning, nine fabric packs containing poplin and terrin material, along with marker paper, were delivered to the Home. These resources will help participants continue their hands-on training and further strengthen their tailoring skills.

Every stitch represents progress, confidence, and opportunity. IWCC is grateful to member Saroj Amalean for her continued support to this initiative that helps empower women through skills development and self-reliance.
