We recently concluded an insightful in person session organized by the ISC2 Colombo Chapter – Sri Lanka, featuring Raj Udayanga, Group Manager – Cyber Security Operations at Monash University.

The session offered a fascinating look into the 2026 cyber threat landscape, including insights from the joint MON-CSIRT and AUSCERT Threat Report, emerging threats to watch, and the evolving challenges facing the higher education sector.

A fantastic evening of learning, collaboration, and networking at the ISC2 Colombo Chapter Member Day Event – "AI Angels & Demons: Cyber Warfare of AI Defenders and Attackers."

As Artificial Intelligence continues to transform the cybersecurity landscape, the discussion highlighted both sides of the equation how AI is empowering defenders to detect and respond to threats more effectively, while also enabling attackers with increasingly sophisticated capabilities. It was an insightful session that encouraged us to think critically about securing the future of AI-driven digital ecosystems.

✨ ISC2 Colombo Chapter Annual General Meeting 2026 ✨

The ISC2 Colombo Chapter successfully held its Annual General Meeting on 5th March 2026 at Lighthouse Galley, bringing together members of our cybersecurity community for an evening of reflection, knowledge sharing, leadership transition, and networking.

The event featured a guest session, a presentation on the chapter’s achievements over the past year, the installation of the new Board for 2026, and an address by the newly appointed President, followed by networking among members.

We extend our sincere appreciation to Rasika Withanage, CEO of Grindlays e Cia LDA, for delivering an engaging guest session and sharing valuable insights with our members.

We would also like to thank the outgoing Board and the President, Lasantha Priyankara, for their dedication, leadership, and valuable contributions to the growth of the ISC2 Colombo Chapter.
