With determination in their minds and strategy at their fingertips, the Nalanda College Chess Team has once again proven their strength on the national stage by securing 2nd Runners-Up at the prestigious 29th Battle of the Kings All Island Inter-School Under 20 Chess Championship.

Representing Nalanda with pride, the team - Methula Ranatunga, Binuka Lavanga, Yomiru Samarasinghe, Jeewantha Hettiarachchi, Lisanda Perera, Sethun Manuwaruna, and Ramath Kothalawala - demonstrated true sportsmanship and resilience throughout the tournament. Their performance stands as an inspiration to every young Nalandian striving to achieve greatness.

Congratulations, boys! You’ve made your school proud and shown that the future of Nalanda chess is brighter than ever. Keep pushing forward, keep believing, and keep conquering new heights.
