The Sri Lanka Housewives’ Association is an organization of Housewives’ in Colombo. We have 15 branches throughout the island and our member ship currently stands at 1500 in Colombo and over 5000 island wide. The main objective of our organization is to promote and share economic, cultural, social and educational interest of our members. A part of ou
r activities is the monthly get-together of our members and their guests, known as the Members Evening. The main purpose of this event is to acquaint the participants of the current matters of interest with regards to housewives’ and also increase the level of consumer awareness with regard to products available in the market. Demonstrations in food preparation ( using the products of the Sponsor Company) by well-known culinary experts, beauty culture by reputed beauticians , home décor, floral arrangements , good housekeeping, gardening are some of the presentations at the Members Evening. A topic of current interest by a guest speaker and a bit of light entertainment rounds up the events of the day. Many business establishments have sponsored the Members Evening as it does allow the Sponsor to access the most important segments in a market, the housewives and freely interact with them.
