RCCR’s large-scale Well Decontamination and Water Security Restoration Project continues to make meaningful progress in the Anuradhapura District, particularly in Kekirawa, following the devastation caused by the Ditwah cyclone.

With a target of restoring 2,500 wells, each site undergoes a comprehensive process of debris removal, water extraction, disinfection, and stabilization to ensure safe and sustainable water access. To date, 725 wells have been successfully restored, significantly improving access to clean water and reducing the risk of waterborne diseases.

The Rotary Club of Colombo West, in collaboration with RC Regency and with the generous support of the Pittsburgh Buddhist Center, has funded the restoration of nearly 200 wells, further strengthening this vital initiative.

It was truly a spectacular evening filled with music, glamour, entertainment, and the timeless magic of Michael Jackson. Our sincere appreciation to Rotary International District 3220 and Women in Rotary – Vital Voices for organizing such a memorable event in support of a meaningful cause.

The Rotary Club of Colombo and the Rotary Club of Colombo Regency came together for an inspiring Joint Dinner Meeting at Cinnamon Lakeside Colombo.
We were honored to host Harsha de Silva as our Guest Speaker, whose insightful address, "Where from here: the importance of thinking beyond stability and populism," challenged us to look beyond the present and focus on sustainable progress, visionary leadership, and meaningful governance.
An evening filled with fellowship, thought-provoking dialogue, and a shared commitment to service. Our sincere gratitude to District Governor Rtn Delvin Pereira, District Secretary Rtn Dinesh Kumar, President Rtn Narmada Muller, the members of the Rotary Club of Colombo, and the Rotary Club of Colombo Regency for making this event truly memorable.
