The Rotary Club of Colombo City participated in the official launch of the $100 Charity Box fundraiser, a strategic initiative by District 3220 to bolster the Global Polio Eradication Initiative.

Hosted at the Kandy City Centre by the Rotary Club of Kandy, the event utilized the cultural premiere of "Rhythm of the Guitar" to engage the community in humanitarian service. Our members were present to support the fund collection, which will go directly toward vaccination and surveillance efforts worldwide.

Together, we remain committed to seeing the end of Polio in our lifetime.

Reflecting on a Global Milestone for Inclusive Education 🌍📚

The Rotary Club of Colombo City is proud to have participated in the Rotary World Disability Advocacy Inclusive Education Summit 2025, held on the 24th and 25th of October.

A major highlight for our club was seeing our very own President, Rtn. Janith Ittapana, take the global stage. Janith moderated a powerful session titled "Reimagining Education: From Standardization to Liberation" alongside the renowned global thought leader, Dr. Sigamoney Naicker.

Colombo City Stands for Hope! 🎀🏃‍♂️

The wait is finally over! On the 16th of November, the Rotary Club of Colombo City was proud to be part of the TLC Triathlon – Colombo, the spectacular conclusion to an islandwide journey.

This wasn't just a race; it was a movement. Powered by the Rotary Pink Pledge, Indira Cancer Trust, and the Sri Lanka Medical Association, we came together to celebrate the incredible resilience of survivors and the determination of our athletes.

Our Highlights:
✅ Cheering on the inspiring TLC athletes at the finish line.
✅ Supporting the mission for free breast cancer screening and awareness.
✅ Standing united with our fellow Rotarians to spread the message: Early Detection Saves Lives.

The Rotary Club of Colombo City recently crossed borders to celebrate the true spirit of international fellowship! We were honoured to participate in a massive joint club meeting and cultural exchange hosted by the Rotary Club of Madurai Malligai (RID 3000), under the visionary leadership of International Service Chair, Rtn. S. V. Raani.

This wasn't just a meeting; it was a powerful convergence of 17 clubs from three Rotary Districts (RID 3220, RID 3000, and RID 3212). Alongside our fellow Sri Lankan clubs and Indian counterparts, such as RC Madurai Elite and RC Pearl City, Colombo City stood proud as a testament to Rotary’s global reach.

At RC Colombo City, we believe that these connections are the heartbeat of our organisation. By fostering collaboration and sharing ideas across oceans, we continue to create a lasting impact through service and fellowship.

The President Elect Learning Seminar (PELS) 2025/26 of Rotary District 3220 – Sri Lanka & Maldives was held at the Jetwing Beach Hotel, Negombo, bringing together Presidents-Elect from across the district for a weekend of growth and fellowship.

Guided by District Governor 2025/26 Rtn. Delvin Pereira and District Learning Facilitator PP Dushan Soza, the sessions were filled with insightful discussions, dynamic speakers, and the sharing of ideas that will shape the Rotary year ahead.
