Former Ceylon Overseas Service Officer Ambassador C. Mahendran (1957 SLFS Batch) passed away. His funeral was held at Borella Cemetery.

Late Ambassador Mahendran served as Sri Lanka's ambassador to China, Japan, and South Korea, and as the Permanent Representative to the United Nations.
