🎉 We are pleased to look back at the High-Level Dialogue on Climate Change, Health, and Security organized by SLYCAN Trust in Berlin on Monday, April 20th.
Ahead of the 17th Petersberg Climate Dialogue, the event brought together high-level participants to discuss interlinkages with health and security and their integration into climate policy processes on the road to COP31.
Key areas of conversation included:
➡️The role of health-related issues in putting a human face to the climate crisis
➡️Health across existing UNFCCC agenda items and other formal and informal entry points
➡️ Moving from the identification of issues to concrete implementation and resource mobilization
➡️Means of implementation, the gap between donors and recipient countries, and the need for a closer dialogue on financing and support
➡️ The importance of a long-term analysis and vision on health and security in both climate policy and research
📋These contributions were part of a rich discussion among on challenges and strategic entry points for health and security in the context of climate policy processes.
