Farewell, Akela Rachel Douglas

The Josephian Scouts pay their final respects to our beloved Cub Scout Akela, Miss Rachel Douglas, during her funeral service.

Her legendary contribution to our Josephian alma mater and the Scouting community will forever remain in our hearts. Her motherly care, warmth, kindness, and unwavering dedication touched the lives of countless young Scouts and will be deeply missed.

You were not just a teacher and Akela, but a guiding light and a cherished member of our Scouting family.

May you rest in eternal peace, dear Rachel Teacher.
Your legacy will live on in the hearts of generations of Josephian Scouts. 🕊️💙

On 15th July 2026, several members of WOSM, visited Sri Lanka to view the recent contributions made by the Sri Lanka Scouts Association, supporting the Sri Lankan Government's 'Clean Sri Lanka' initiative.

During their visit they visited the Community Service Project carried out by the 21st Colombo Scout Troop which involved repainting and cleaning up of the Nawinna Sub Railway Station, which aligns with the Clean Sri Lanka initiative. The WOSM Delegation inspected the Railway premises and Assistant Troop Leader Divith Kannangara, along with several other Scouts were interviewed.

Relive the spirit of generosity, community, and brotherhood from our Vesak Dansala hosted by the 21st Colombo Scout Troop of St. Joseph's College, Colombo 10. Thank you to everyone who joined us in making this initiative a success.
