Closing Ceremony
The Sri Lanka Scout Association has commenced a special residential workshop at the Lee Dassanayake Scout Training Centre in Mirigama to formulate its future strategic plan and assign responsibilities across key divisions.
The workshop is being held under the leadership of Chief Commissioner, Attorney-at-Law Manoj Nanayakkara, with the participation of Commissioners representing the National Headquarters.
Speaking on the initiative, the Chief Commissioner stated that the program has been organized with the objective of launching a series of revitalized national initiatives over the next three years, in line with the future strategic direction of the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM). This program was held from 30th of April to 2nd of May.
The workshop is being conducted under the guidance of the Chief Commissioner, with sessions led by Assistant Chief Commissioner (Management & Finance) Mr. Sampath Kariyawasam and the International Commissioner.
Among those attending are National Training Commissioner Colonel Padmalal Perera, National Programme Commissioner Geeth Ramesh, Executive Secretary Mr. M.E.S. Jayasinghe, along with Assistant Chief Commissioners, Headquarters Commissioners, Provincial Commissioners, and Assistant Headquarters Commissioners.
This strategic planning workshop marks an important step in strengthening the future direction of scouting in Sri Lanka and enhancing its contribution to youth development nationwide.
