OUR VISION

The aim and purposes of the Foundation is to serve the best interest of Islam and the Muslims of Sri Lanka.

1. Arrange and hold congregational prayers and Islamic religious festivals at appropriate times;

3. Conduct social, cultural, religious, educational, and other activities in the best traditions of Islam;

4. Enable Muslims with the basic knowledge and com

petence in Islam to contribute individually and collectively toward meeting human needs in conformity with Islamic doctrines and belief;

5. Avoid any and all wrong practices, which are not consistent with the teachings of Islam;

6. Promote friendly relations between Muslims and non-Muslims;

7. Endeavor to make Islamic teachings known to interested non-Muslims;

8. Coordinate and cooperate with national Islamic organizations for the common good of Islam and Muslims.

9. Health services to the community

10. Conflict resolution, premarital, parenting, and marriage counseling, in coordination with the Imam

11. Weekend and/or evening Islamic and Arabic language classes for children and adults.

12. Weekend and/or evening Quranic programs for children and adults.

13. Adult education classes of particular interest to the community, such as Arabic language and English as a Second Language (ESL);

14. Introductory classes on Islam to new Muslims or non-Muslims who are interested to know about Islam.

We warmly welcome all to participate in this Blessed event of remembrance of Rahmathul Alameen Seyyedina Hazrath Muhammad Mustafa Sallahu Alaihi wa Sallam.
In Sha Allah on the 3rd of January recitations of Subuhana Maulid will commence after Maghrib continuance for the next 11 consecutive days.

Brother Fazhan Nawas B.A gives us a concise account on the interactions the Muslim World and the current industrial Behemoth China had. And the ventures of the Sahabis to the distant lands of China with the Message of Islam. Today we do have Chinese Muslims and many Maqams of the Sahaba in the Buddhist majority country. This is indeed a significant unvieling of Islamic History in the Asian continent. We could contemplate the hard striving that the Noble Sahabis have accomplished to implant the message of Thauheed!

Farooq Maududi the biological son of Abul A'la Maududi who was a 21st century Pan-Islamic reformer, and founder of the organization named Jamate Islami. Abul A'la Maududi is a figure who held aberrant views that contradicted the Orthodox teachings of Islam, his teachings or ideology mainly pivoted around the political implication of Islam on a ruling state. Infamous for taxing civilians under democracy to be Mushriks, propagating zero tolerance of non-Islamic religions with the uphold notion of Islamic Totalitarianism and with Radical Islamist ideologies Abul A'la Maududi was considered an outcast amongst his contemporaries and now his own son speaks of the deviance his father propagated and what evil fruits it has nurtured in this Ummah.
