We are excited to announce that the Children’s Book Corner at the China Cultural Center in Sri Lanka Library officially opened its doors on March 20! We cordially invite students, parents, and young readers to visit the Center and embark on a cross-border journey of cultural exploration through the magic of reading. Highlights of the collection include dual resources featuring a rich selection of physical books complemented by professional digital resources from the National Library of China, offering a seamless blend of online and offline reading. The diverse content allows you to explore a wide range of topics, including Chinese history, myths and legends, folklore, classic fairy tales, and language learning textbooks. With multilingual options, books are available in Chinese-English bilingual, Chinese-only, and English-only versions, so whether you are a Chinese language beginner or a bilingual "pro," you will find the perfect book for your level. Opening hours are every Tuesday and Friday from 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM.

斯里兰卡中国文化中心图书馆“少儿图书角”已于3月20日正式投入使用!我们诚挚邀请广大学生、家长及少年朋友们走进中心,在书香中开启一场跨越国界的文化探索之旅。这里拥有双重资源,精选丰富的实体书籍,辅以中国国家图书馆专业的儿童电子图书资源,打造线上线下联动的阅读体验。内容多元,涵盖中国历史、神话传说、民间故事、经典童话及语言学习教材。多语选择,提供中英双语、纯中文及纯英文版本,无论你是零基础的中文爱好者,还是双语小达人,都能找到心仪的选择。开放时间为每周二、周五下午 3:00 – 5:00。

Sri Lankan Travel Agents in Yangzhou, Jiangsu Province, China.
On December 14th, the Sri Lankan delegation of travel agents, together with their counterparts from Austria, Switzerland, visited Yangzhou for a two-day in-depth inspection and familiarization tour.
During the two-day itinerary, the delegation experienced Yangzhou’s morning tea culture at Ye Chun Tea House, explored classical gardens including the Slender West Lake, Ge Garden and He Garden, visited historical and cultural sites such as the Emperor Yang of Sui Tomb Ruins Park, Yangzhou Double Museum, China Huaiyang Cuisine Museum and the Intangible Cultural Heritage Treasure Hall. They also immersed themselves in the historical ambiance of Daming Temple, enjoyed leisure amenities at the Slender West Lake Hot Spring Resort, attended the moving performance “Grand Canal Yangzhou” on an ancient canal cruise, and concluded their tour with a stroll through Dongguan Historical District. Through these activities, they gained a comprehensive and deep appreciation of Yangzhou’s cultural heritage and leisure appeal as a “City of Gastronomy” and a historic canal city.

On December 12, a delegation of 25 travel agents from Sri Lanka, along with their counterparts from Austria, Switzerland, and other countries, visited Wuxi for a two-day in-depth familiarization tour. They explored core scenic spots such as the Three Kingdoms City and Water Margin City, Huishan Ancient Town, Lingshan Buddhist Scenic Spot, and Nianhua Bay, as well as cultural landmarks including the Wuxi Museum and the Former Residence of Xue Fucheng. The itinerary offered a comprehensive experience of the diverse charm of Wuxi, renowned as the "Pearl of Taihu Lake and a Flourishing Region of Jiangnan."

Changbai Mountain is located in the southeastern part of Jilin Province, China. It is a famous mountain range straddling the border between China and North Korea, and is known as the 'Roof of Northeast China.' It is a massive dormant stratovolcano, named for the white pumice and persistent snow on its main peaks, earning it the reputation of having 'a thousand years of snow and ten thousand years of pine trees.'
