This , we honour the volunteers and humanitarian workers who show up for communities in times of crisis - often at great personal risk.

They stand with people, save lives, and help communities.

As attacks on humanitarian personnel continue to rise around the world, we must protect those who are there for humanity.

Dengue cases are still surging across Sri Lanka. Stay vigilant. Take action now to protect yourself, your family and your community.

A mosquito can develop from an egg into an adult in as little as 7โ€“10 days. Regularly checking and eliminating mosquito breeding sites is one of the most effective ways to help reduce dengue transmission.

Check your home and surroundings regularly. Remove standing water from roof gutters, vases, coconut shells, cans, and other containers that can become mosquito breeding sites. Keep water storage containers properly covered.

If you or a loved one develops a high fever, severe headache, body aches, or persistent vomiting, seek medical attention promptly. Extra care is important for children, older adults, and pregnant women.

A cleaner environment today means a safer tomorrow.
