The Sri Lanka Medical Association is the oldest and most prestigious professional medical association in Sri Lanka. It is widely considered the apex of all medical associations in Sri Lanka. The SLMA is the oldest professional medical association in Asia and Australasia with a history dating from 1887 with the then 'The Ceylon Branch of The British Medical Association' finally evolving into the 'Sri Lanka Medical Association' in 1972. We encourage all users of this page to share and discuss relevant non-commercial content in relation to medicine and health in Sri Lanka.
