Carbon Nanotubes

Carbon nanotubes are tiny, tube-shaped structures made only of carbon atoms. Because of the special way these atoms bond together, these tubes are incredibly strong—more than 100 times stronger than steel—but they are very light. They can also conduct electricity better than copper and pass heat better than diamond. In the future, engineers want to use them to make space elevators, lightweight airplanes and very fast electronic devices.

Quantum Entanglement

In quantum physics, two tiny particles can become connected or “entangled.” When this happens, if you change one particle, the other particle changes instantly, even if they are on opposite sides of the universe. This communication happens faster than the speed of light. Albert Einstein found this hard to believe and called it “spooky action at a distance.” Today, scientists use this idea to build super-fast quantum computers and secure communication systems.

Your brain constantly predicts the future to save energy. When you try to tickle yourself, the back of your brain predicts your exact movement and actively cancels out the “tickle” sensation before you even touch your skin.

Just like deep sea creatures, humans are naturally bioluminescent. As our cells undergo regular metabolic reactions specifically cellular respiration they emit tiny particles of light called photons. The catch? This biological glow is 1000 times weaker than our eyes can detect
