WIS MUN Shines Again- Best School Award at GMUN’25!

We are thrilled to announce that WIS MUN has been awarded the Best School Award at the inaugural Galle Model United Nations Conference 2025, winning 5 awards with a delegation of 10, including two best delegates - Kanishdan Prathepan and Suhansith Abeysekara.

Moreover at RCMUN 2025, WIS MUN was fortunate to secure a total of 6 awards including a best delegate from Samrikha Rajesh.

These incredible achievements would not have been possible without the commitment of our senior delegates, who generously mentored and trained the junior members with passion and purpose. Their leadership truly made a difference.

With these victories, WIS MUN’s award tally has now reached an outstanding 85 awards — a testament to the spirit of diligence, teamwork and diplomacy that defines WIS MUN.

Twelve delegations from WISMUN participated in the Hill Country Model United Nations Conference this July. We are thrilled to announce our success in securing 12 awards, including Best Delegate, in four of the five committees. Additionally, our team earned the Best Working Paper Award in all five committees showcasing their exceptional diplomacy, negotiation, and leadership skills.

Delegates of WISMUN attended RIMUNC '24 and obtained 8 awards, making RIMUNC a very successful conference for the club.
Lingkesh won Best Working Paper and Best Delegate in International Cricket Council.
Suhansith won 1st HM in United Nations Convention Against Corruption
Kanishdan won 1st HM in General Assembly 3
Vinuja won HC in General Assembly 3
Ameera won Best Working Paper and 2nd HM in United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change
Zaakira won Best News Agency as The Island.

🎉 Exciting News from WISMUN!!

🏆 We are delighted to share the thrilling news of our recent success at *Asia Youth International Model United Nations* conference. AYIMUN is a stimulation of UN organised by International Global Network. Their 13th session was held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia carrying the theme of “ Strengthening Collabarative Action Plan for the Sustainable Development Goals”, with the participation of 593 delegates from 40 countries across the world. WISMUN participated with 8 delegation for the conference and our team shone securing two prestigious awards from challenging Interpol committee.
Delegate Jesu Jordan Fenando was awarded verbal commendation representing Russian Federation and delegate Lingkeshkumar Senthilkumar secured best position paper award representing Albania.

A heartfelt congratulations to delegates of Russian federation and Albania for their outstanding performance as well as for our participation.

Our first international conference with over 590 delegates from 40 countries was a tremendous success, reflecting the collective effort of our dedicated team. Proud moment for WISMUN as we celebrate this achievement within just one year of our journey! 🌍
