Sri Lanka Queen’s and President’s Scout Guild at Poson Kalaapaya

The Sri Lanka Queen’s and President’s Scout Guild is proudly participating in the Poson Kalaapaya 2026, organized by the Sri Lanka Scout Association from Lake House to Kompanna Veediya Police Station.

The Guild’s Lantern Stall was declared open today, 29th June, by Mr. Sirilal Fernando, Vice President of the Guild. We were also honoured by the visit of Chief Commissioner Mr. Manoj Lasantha Nanayakkara to the Guild Stall.

All Guild Members are kindly requested to attend and support the stall.

The Poson Kalaapaya will continue until 30th June 2026 – Poson Poya Day.

The Sri Lanka Queen's and President's Scout Guild organized a Safety and Fire Fighting Workshop for the scouts in Hambantota District today 20th June 2026 at Walasmulla National School. 285 Scouts, 15 Scout Leaders, ADCs and Parents participated in the workshop.

SAFETY AND FIREFIGHTING WORKSHOP FOR SCOUTS IN HAMBANTOTA

The Sri Lanka Queen's and President's Scout Guild organized a Safety and Fire Fighting Workshop for the scouts in Hambantota District today 20th June 2026 at Walasmulla National School.

285 Scouts, 15 Scout Leaders, ADCs and Parents participated in the workshop.

The workshop commenced with the hoisting of flags and singing of the National Anthem
The National Flag was hoisted by Mr. K.DJ. Christopher President of the Guild, The District Flag by the District Commissioner Mr. Chamika Walpalahewa and the Guild Flag by Mr. Sirilal Fernando Vice President of the Guild.

The proceedings continued with the lighting of the traditional oil lamp.
The opening Remarks were made by the President of the Guild Mr. Christopher, followed by the purpose of the Workshop by the Guild Secretary Mr. Darshana Wijesinghe.The District Commissioner Mr. Chamika Walpalahewa addressed the gathering.

Mr. Ranjith Kumara conducted the theoretical session on the subject.

The Practical sessions continued outdoors by Mr. Ranjith Kumara.

Certificates were presented to all participants and the workshop was Successfully concluded

This is the first time the Guild has organized the Safety and Fire Fighting Workshop.

Flower Dansala Organized by the Sri Lanka Queen’s & President’s Scout Guild 🌸

In celebration of Vesak, the Sri Lanka Queen’s & President’s Scout Guild successfully organized a Flower Dansala on 30th May 2026 at the historic Athkanda Raja Maha Viharaya, Kurunegala.

This meaningful event was conducted under the leadership of Guild President Mr. K.D. Joy Christopher, with the dedicated participation of Guild members and Scouts from the 91st Kurunegala Maliyadeva Model Scout Group.

The program provided an opportunity for devotees to offer flowers and pay homage during the Vesak season, while promoting the values of service, unity, and community spirit that Scouting represents.

SRI LANKA QUEEN’S & PRESIDENT’S SCOUT GUILD MAL DANSALA IN KURUNEGALA HELD SUCCESSFULLY

Mal Dansala in connection with Vesak Poya Day organized by the Sri Lanka Queen's and President's Scout Guild under the leadership of Guild President Mr. K.D. J. Christopher was successfully held today 30th May 2026 at Athkanda Raja Maha Viharaya in Kurunegala.
Flowers were distributed to devotees at the Viharaya.

⚜️ A Proud Milestone in Scouting ⚜️

The Sri Lanka Queen's and President's Scout Guild successfully held its 25th Annual General Meeting on "22 March 2026 at 4.00 PM" at the National Scout Headquarters.

This special occasion brought together distinguished Scout leaders, members, and guests to celebrate 25 years of fellowship, leadership, and service. The event also marked the appointment of the Executive Committee for the 2026–2027 term.

Congratulations to the newly elected committee. May your leadership continue to inspire and strengthen the Scout movement across Sri Lanka.
