The Solidarity of Overseas Sinhalese (The Solidarity or the SOS) is a not-for-profit organization formed by a group of Sri Lankans living abroad in various countries. About us:

The Solidarity of Overseas Sinhalese (The Solidarity or the SOS) is a not-for-profit organization formed by a group of Sri Lankans living abroad in various countries. The organization was officially formed on 27 July 2019

with the participation of members attended from Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, United Arab Emirates, Oman, Kuwait, Qatar and Australia. On 17 February 2021, the Solidarity was registered as a Voluntary Social Services/Non-governmental Organisation (NGO) in Sri Lanka under the Voluntary Social Services Organisations (Registration and Supervision) Act No. 31 of 1980 as amended by Act No.8 of 1998 and operates under the registration number L-174404. The objective of the Solidarity of the Overseas Sinhalese is to support children in Sri Lanka with greater financial difficulties to pursue their educational goals and contribute towards the social wellbeing and development of the Country. Every child deserves a chance to learn and dream big. ✨ Our Shilpa Programme is dedicated to making that a reality for underprivileged children in Sri Lanka. We believe that by investing in their education, we're building a brighter future for their families and communities.

We are proud to announce that on September 3, 2025, we made a payment of LKR 600,600.00 to support 78 students through the program for the period of November 2024 to February 2025. Education is the key to unlocking a brighter future

We are thrilled to share the news that the Solidarity of Overseas Sinhalese has successfully disbursed Sri Lankan Rupees 234,000 as scholarship payments to 144 underprivileged school children in Sri Lanka. This is a remarkable achievement, and it wouldn't have been possible without the generosity of our members.

We want to take this opportunity to thank every member who contributed to this cause. Your kindness and generosity have made a significant difference in the lives of these children. එතෙර හෙළ එකමුතුවෙහි සමාජික සාමාජිකාවනි,

ලැබුවාවු නව වසර සුබම සුබ නව වසරක් වේවා සියලු දෙනාටම. 2022 වසරේ ඔබ සැවොම අපගේ සංවිධානයේ කටයුතු සාර්ථක කර ගැනීමට දැක්වූ නොමද සහය පිලිබඳ අපි තුති පුදමු. එලෙසම අපගේ කටයුතු ලැබුවාවු නව වසරේ සාර්ථක කර ගැනීමට ඔබගේ සහය නිබදව ලැබේය යන්න අපගේ අචල විශ්වාසයයි..
