It is currently the only, trilingual inter-university debating championship in Sri Lanka. SLUDC is a debating tournament organized by the Moot Court and Debating Society (MCDS) of the Faculty of Law, University of Colombo. It is the only, trilingual debating tournament in the country, organized at the university level. The local university debating circuit is in need of much improvement. The oppor
tunities for undergraduates to debate in Sri Lanka are few and far apart. For this reason, the MCDS Board, in 2019, decided to host the first, trilingual inter-university debating tournament, drawing inspiration from the Sri Lanka Schools Debating Championship (SLSDC), the first trilingual debating tournament at the school level. The MCDS hopes SLUDC will grow to be as successful as its sister tournament, and help develop the analytical and oral advocacy skills of undergraduates.
සමස්ත ලංකා අන්තර් විශ්ව විද්යාල විවාද තරගාවලිය යනු කොළඹ විශ්ව විද්යාලයීය නීති පීඨ ආදර්ශ අධිකරණ හා විවාද සංගමය විසින් සංවිධානය කරනු ලබන වාර්ෂික විවාද තරගාවලියකි. මෙය ශ්රී ලංකාවේ විශ්ව විද්යාල විශාල සංඛ්යාවක් සහභාගීත්වය දරන්නා වූ රටේ විශාලතම අන්තර් විශ්ව විද්යාලීය ත්රෛභාෂා විවාද තරගාවලිය වේ.
කොළඹ විශ්ව විද්යාලයීය නීති පීඨ ආදර්ශ අධිකරණ හා විවාද සංගමය වනාහි වසර ගිය වර්ෂයේ සිට මෙම තරගාවලිය සඳහා සහභාගීත්වය ලබා දෙන්නක් වන අතර ආසියානු පාර්ලිමේන්තු විවාද ආකෘතියට විවාදකයන් හුරු කරවීම සඳහා තරගාවලියට පෙර වැඩමුළු කිහිපයක් සංවිධානය කරමින් විශ්ව විද්යාල මට්ටමින් විවාද දිරිමත් කිරීමට කැපවෙමින් සිටියි.
සමස්ත ලංකා අන්තර් විශ්ව විද්යාලයීය විවාද තරගාවලිය හරහා විශ්ව විද්යාලයීය විවාදකයින්ට මෙම ක්ෂේත්රය තුළ විශිෂ්ටත්වය පෙන්නුම් කිරීමට පරමාදර්ශී වේදිකාවක් සැපයීමට කටයුතු කරනු ලබයි.
அகில இலங்கை பல்கலைக்கழகங்களுக்கு இடையிலான விவாதச் சுற்றுப்போட்டியானது கொழும்பு பல்கலைக்கழக சட்ட பீடத்தின் வழக்காடுதல் மற்றும் விவாத மன்றத்தினால் (MCDS) ஒழுங்கு செய்யப்பட்டுவரும் வருடாந்த விவாதச் சுற்றுப்போட்டியாகும்.
இதுவே நாடளாவிய ரீதியில் அதிகளவிலான பல்கலைக்கழகங்கள் பங்குபற்றுகின்ற , பல்கலைக்கழகங்களுக்கிடையிலான பிரம்மாண்டமான மும்மொழிமூல விவாதச் சுற்றுப்போட்டியாகும்.
கடந்த வருடத்தில் இருந்து கொழும்பு பல்கலைக்கழக சட்ட பீடத்தின் வழக்காடுதல் மற்றும் விவாத மன்றத்தினால் இப் போட்டி நடாத்தப்பட்டு வருவதுடன் , ஆசிய பாராளுமன்ற விவாத முறையை விவாதிகளிற்கு பழக்கப்படுத்துவதற்கான போட்டிக்கு முன்னதான சில பயிற்சிப்பட்டறைகளை நடாத்துவதன் மூலமாக , பல்கலைக்கழக மட்டத்தில் இவ் விவாத முறையை ஊக்குவிப்பதற்கான நடவடிக்கைகளும் மேற்கொள்ளப்பட்டன.
அகில இலங்கை பல்கலைக்கழகங்களுக்கு இடையிலான விவாதச் சுற்றுப்போட்டியானது விவாதிகள் இத்துறையில் மிளிர்வதற்கான ஓர் சிறந்த களத்தை அமைத்துக் கொடுக்கின்றது.
