WTW Lanka was honored to join St. Mary’s School on the special occasion as Grade 1 students began their educational journey. We were proud to hand over school bags to support these young learners as they take their first steps in education.

Filled with joyful performances, smiles, and innocent excitement, the day marked a meaningful and memorable beginning for these little ones.

We’re excited to share that WTW Lanka has been selected as a recipient of the Giving Joy Micro Grant 2026, becoming the first organization from Sri Lanka to be supported through this global initiative.

With the support of Giving Joy, we are launching Career Talk: English for Employment — an initiative focused on empowering young women and expanding access to meaningful opportunities.

This collaboration reflects a shared commitment to community-led action, inclusion, and creating pathways for women to grow with confidence and purpose.

We are deeply grateful to Giving Joy for believing in our work and for supporting initiatives that invest in women, communities, and long-term impact.

The Department of Meteorology says that the Northeast monsoon conditions are gradually establishing over the island.

According to an advisory issued for Heavy Rain by the Met Department, under the influence of the Northeast Monsoon, showers or thundershowers will occur at times in Northern, North-Central, Eastern, Central and Uva provinces.

Heavy showers above 100mm are likely at some places in Northern, Eastern and North Central provinces.
Therefore, the general public is advised to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by heavy rain, strong winds and strong lightning during thundershowers.
