UN Climate Change (UNFCCC), are excited to relaunch our contest.

“𝗚𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗽𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗖𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲” invites short fiction submissions from diverse voices and perspectives. The contest encourages a wide range of storytelling forms, including non-linear, non-binary, circular, and experimental narratives.

Guided by the 8️⃣ transformative pathways of Resilience Frontiers, submissions should explore desirable futures that move beyond current projections and conventional ways of thinking.

🌱Young people are on the frontlines of the climate crisis. They are experiencing rising risks today while carrying the responsibility of shaping tomorrow’s solutions. Across countries and communities, youth continue to drive innovation, challenge existing systems, and introduce ideas that move climate action forward.

⚡Yet many young people face barriers to meaningful climate engagement, including limited access to information, few training opportunities, and difficulties entering finance or decision-making spaces. Overcoming these gaps requires stronger support systems that enable youth to contribute to both policy and practical climate solutions.

🌍 As nears its close, it is a timely reminder that empowering youth is essential for fair, ambitious, and community-centred climate action. Strengthening capacities, creating leadership spaces, and integrating youth priorities into national and global processes are key to building a resilient, climate-ready future.
