POP CULTURE 🎬✨
From 'How you doin’?' to 'May the Force be with you,' from 'Why so serious?' to 'That’s what she said,' our Pop Culture meeting was a crash course in the lines that have become part of our vocabulary.
Led by Toastmaster of the Day Praveen Nanayakkara, we traveled through anime, songs, movies, cartoons, and all the references that make us pause and say, 'Wait, I know that one!' The quiz had us screaming answers in true Friends style: 'I know, I know, I know!' It was pure CCTMC chaos, and we loved it!
Toastmaster Mewansa moved us with a heartfelt speech on loving yourself. Mayuka had us playing Simon Says, proving that even a cheek and a chin can become serious business when Simon is involved! Toastmaster Sahan took us from the first impression to the nth impression, making us rethink how our perceptions evolve.
TM Esini Peiris then put our pop culture knowledge and quick thinking to the test with a lively Table Topics session, followed by our ever-reliable Breakfast of Champions, the evaluation session.
A meeting filled with nostalgia, laughter, unexpected references, and plenty of new favorites to add to the pop culture repertoire. 🍿✨
