Ceylon College of critical care specialists conducted the BASIC (Basic Assessment and Support in Intensive Care) Course on 14th & 15th May at the National Hospital of Sri Lanka Neurotrauma Auditorium.
Thirty-five candidates successfully completed the course, which included interactive lectures, skill stations and case-based discussions. We are pleased to share that all participants passed successfully, with excellent feedback received throughout the program.
A sincere thank you to all faculty members, instructors, organizers and participants who contributed to making this course a great success.

The Ceylon College of Critical care specialists was endorsed as a sister college at the 22nd Emirates Critical Care Conference held from 8th to 10th of May in Dubai. It was a proud moment for 4CS and marks an important milestone for the advancement and international recognition of critical care medicine in Sri Lanka.
Dr. Anushka Mudalige was honoured to participate as an invited speaker at the ECCC.

The CREST (Competency Related Essential Skills Training) workshop on Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) cinducted by 4CS, was successfully held on the 5th and 6th of March 2026 at the Neurotrauma Auditorium, National Hospital of Sri Lanka. The program focused on providing comprehensive knowledge and practical skills in CRRT, combining lectures with hands-on training sessions conducted by experienced resource persons. On the 5th, 50 doctors actively participated, while on the 6th, 40 nurses attended the workshop. The sessions were interactive and well structured, ensuring participants gained both theoretical understanding and practical competence in CRRT. Overall, the workshop was very well received, with positive feedback from attendees highlighting its relevance and effectiveness
