Colombo Expats Cultural Association (CECA), Sri Lanka is a multi-national community, who strives not only to uphold the traditional cultural ethos of our respective countries but also makes a positive contribution to the community at large. Colombo Expats Cultural Association (CECA), Sri Lanka is a multi-national community comprising of members from India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh & Nepal, who strive

s not only to uphold the traditional cultural ethos of our respective countries but also makes a positive contribution to the community at large. We have a very soft corner for the “not so fortunate” kids of the community and have associated with Orphanages to make them a part of our celebrations since long. The kids join us in festivities and we share the joys and blessings together.
• In 2020, when CoVID struck and Orphanages across country was reeling with scarcity of supplies, CECA in all its capacity came forward to contribute essentials as well as computers for online education to 52 Orphanages in the country.
• In 2021, CECA organized an all island-wide painting competition for Orphanages across Sri Lanka. We didn’t stop there, and ensured that the talented kids were brought to Colombo, accommodated in a comfortable property and carried memories which will inspire them for greater things in life!
• 2022 brings greater challenge for Sri Lanka – the country is devising ways and means to fight the economic conundrum, however needs all the support it can get – especially the vulnerable sections of the community. CECA, with all your support, aims to find ways to contribute to the community in Sri Lanka and especially these wonderful children – so that they have access to basic amenities for a respectable living and do get the opportunity to make their mark in our beautiful planet.

Some snaps speak a thousand words & some don't; well these are two snaps which leaves a lot unsaid.

Behind the scenes efforts put in by members of Colombo Expats Cultural Association, the hours spent in planning the mechanism of sourcing the necessary items for our SL Orphanage Kids and the support received from hundreds of donors / well wishers, Dept of Probation & Child Care Services -SL, Prime Minister's Office - SL, India in Sri Lanka (High Commission of India, Colombo) and a number of other authorities involved in this activity are some which deserve special a mention.

That we all could come together, beyond boundaries, to do our bit to help Orphanage Kids in Sri Lanka is a wonderful testament to the 'spirit of humaneness'.

306,500Kg of Dry Rations for 10,600 Kids for 100 days across 379 Orphanages in Sri Lanka will help to ease the effect of the torrid economic times the country is going through; and we are sure it will offer 'hope' for the kids to soar through troubled times to a beautiful future!
