It is with great joy and anticipation that I share the Every Home for Christ 2026 International Word of the Year — CARRY, with the inspiring tagline, “See People, Show Love, Speak Hope.”
Across the nations, Every Home for Christ teams are embracing this calling, bringing the hope of Christ to every home and every heart. As we reflect on this theme, I sense the Lord inviting each of us to consider not only what we hold in our hands, but what we carry in our hearts and lives each day.
We live in a world often marked by anger, accusation, and division. Yet as followers of Jesus, we are called to carry something far greater — His love, His compassion, and His living hope. To carry Christ means allowing His character to shape our words, guide our actions, and influence every relationship He entrusts to us.
Here in Sri Lanka, this calling takes on a special urgency and responsibility. Our nation is rich in culture and diversity, yet many are still waiting to encounter the transforming love of Christ. We cannot fulfill this mission alone. God has designed His Church to move forward in unity.
Let us carry Him well in Sri Lanka through strong and meaningful partnerships with local congregations. When churches stand together, pray together, and reach out together, the Gospel travels farther, hearts open wider, and communities are transformed.
As we step into the year ahead, let this be our shared commitment:
Carry His Message — Proclaim the Good News with courage so that every home may have the opportunity to hear of His saving grace.
Carry His Heart — Serve with humility and compassion, reflecting Christ’s love through practical acts of kindness.
Carry His Mission - Work hand in hand with pastors and congregations to fulfill the Great Commission across our island.
Carry His Hope — Be a light in every community, reminding people that true and lasting hope is found in Jesus Christ alone.
My prayer is that this will be a year of renewed passion, deeper unity among the Body of Christ, and courageous obedience to God’s call. Together, let us intentionally live as Christ-carriers — seeing people as He sees them, showing love as He has shown us, and speaking hope into every corner of our nation.
From my heart to yours, let us go forward in faith and carry Him well in Sri Lanka.
