Medical Administrators Forum of Sri Lanka is an apolitical organization established to enhance the professional development of Medical Administrators who are qualified with the post graduate qualifications in Medical Administration and to positively contribute to development/ strengthening of the public sector health system. Medical Administration is identified as another specialty in 1995 accordi
ng to the service minute and post graduate training programme was developed accordingly. At present over 200 officers with MSC in Medical Administration and over 80 officers with MD in medical Administration are working in the ministry of Health. In parallel to the development of the specialty required amendments to the service minute was not happened due to various reasons in order to ensure smooth transition of specialty to the newly qualified officers as in other fields.
