The Rotary Club of Paddiruppu, functioning under Rotary International District 3220 โ Sri Lanka and Maldives, successfully held its Second Installation Ceremony on 19 September 2026 at Green Garden Hotel, Kallady.
The occasion was graced by Chief Guest Rtn. Kumar Sundararaj, District Governor 2026โ2027, along with District Secretary Rtn. Ian Idamalgoda, Assistant Governor Rtn. S. Jegatheeswaran, and District Governorโs Representative Rtn. Jegavannan.

Rtn. Niroshanth Sathyanathan was installed as the President of the Rotary Club of Paddiruppu for the Rotary Year 2026โ2027, with Rtn. S. Logitharajah assuming duties as Secretary and Rtn. S. Tharsanan as Treasurer.
The ceremony brought together Rotary members, families, school principals, students, beneficiaries, well-wishers, and friends from across the Batticaloa District to celebrate fellowship, leadership, and the spirit of service.

As part of the Second Installation Ceremony, the Rotary Club of Paddiruppu launched three meaningful community service initiatives focused on education and student welfare:
๐ฒ 1. Bicycle Donation Programme
Providing bicycles to nine selected students from low-income families facing transportation difficulties, supporting easier access to school and continued education.
๐ง 2. RO Drinking Water Purification Facility
Launching a project to establish an RO drinking water purification facility at a selected school, supporting access to safe and clean drinking water for students and teachers.
๐ 3. Monthly Mathematics Tuition Programme
Launching a monthly educational support programme, with Rs. 20,000 per month allocated to support additional mathematics classes conducted by a qualified private tutor for students requiring extra academic assistance.
These initiatives reflect the Rotary Club of Paddiruppuโs ongoing commitment to education, healthcare, and social welfare, guided by Rotaryโs fundamental principle of โService Above Self.โ
