“Storytelling Paintings” – Mystery Painting Exhibition.

As part of the events celebrating 30 years of service of the Butterfly Peace Garden, we launched a Mystery Painting art exhibition titled “Storytelling Paintings” on Sunday, 03.04.2026, at our art training centre located at 37 Pioneer Road, Batticaloa. This proud event was inaugurated by the Canadian High Commissioner together with representatives holding various positions in the Batticaloa District.

The Mystery paintings presented here are born from the hands of government and non-governmental Officials themselves created as a gentle refuge for their own hearts, and as a path toward healing for those touched by war, disaster, and the weight of social hardship. Each piece, tenderly refined and brought to life by us, carries the essence of their lived experiences.
These illustrations mirror the quiet depths of the human soul. They draw forth stories long hidden within the subconscious, allowing them to be seen, felt, and remembered. In this act of rediscovery, they offer solace, nurture healing, and become a bridge toward inner peace. This is their true beauty and significance.
