Empowering women. Supporting girls. Building peace.

CIRCLE continues to drive meaningful change in vulnerable communities by strengthening livelihoods, education, and social cohesion.

On 07th April 2026, impactful community events were held in Koralaipattu and Koralaipattu West, followed by a successful event on 21st April 2026 in Eravurpattu. These initiatives brought together the Deputy Director of Planning – Eravurpattu, the Director of CIRCLE, government officials, school principals, teachers, and community leaders—demonstrating strong collective commitment toward inclusive development.

Across these locations, 50 school girls were empowered with essential learning materials, enabling them to continue their education with dignity and confidence. At the same time, 31 women entrepreneurs from the Women’s Resilience Circles received grant assistance, strengthening their businesses, restoring livelihoods, and creating pathways to economic independence.

Implemented with the support and collaboration of UNOPS – VRIDDHI, these initiatives go beyond immediate assistance—they are investments in peace. By empowering women and youth, promoting inter-ethnic understanding, and addressing key challenges such as poverty and exclusion, CIRCLE is actively contributing to reducing tensions and building resilient, united communities.

Together, we are not just supporting individuals—we are shaping a future of opportunity, equality, and lasting peace.
