We are happy to share that the Kids Graduation Ceremony of Batticaloa RC was successfully held on 06 December 2025 at the YMCA Hall, Thandavanveli, Batticaloa.

It was a proud and joyful moment celebrating the growth, discipline and achievements of our young learners, along with the support of parents and teachers. This milestone reflects our strong belief that investing in children today builds a better future tomorrow.

Our heartfelt thanks to everyone who supported and contributed to making this event meaningful and memorable.

On 17th October 2025, Sri Lanka Unites Batticaloa RC hosted a heartwarming and fun-filled day for kids with the Open Book Library by the Beach initiative at Batticaloa Beach*. 🌞📖

The event was an absolute hit with our young readers! 🌟 The children had the chance to dive into a world of colorful books while enjoying the beauty of the beach. From adventure stories to fairy tales, there was something for everyone! 📚✨

Here’s what made the day special:

* Kids exploring their imagination with stories by the sea 🌊
* Fun reading sessions
* A chance for children to enjoy nature while developing a love for reading 📖

Children’s Day 2025 Celebration | Sri Lanka Unites, Batticaloa RC

Sri Lanka Unites – Batticaloa RC proudly celebrated Children’s Day 2025 on the themes of unity, trust, and empowerment on 05.11.2025. The day was filled with meaningful sessions and joyful activities that highlighted the power of togetherness and the spirit of childhood.

The celebration reflected SLU’s mission to build bridges of friendship and promote peace and reconciliation among the next generation — shaping youth to lead with compassion and confidence.

Batticaloa RC Completes the 8th APPT Study Circle on OSGBV! 🌐

On April 12, 2025, trainees explored legal protections against Online Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (OSGBV) and learned practical strategies to stay safe online — including digital literacy, privacy settings, bystander support, self-care, and how to report abuse on social media.

Hands-on activities made it real, reminding us that awareness and action go hand in hand. Together, we’re building a safer digital space for all. 💬✨

The Sri Lanka Unites Batticaloa and Matara Reconciliation Centers came together on March 17–18, 2025, for a powerful Cultural Exchange Program filled with laughter, learning, and lasting friendships. 💫
From exploring the rich heritage of Kattankudy, sharing stories by the Kallady Bridge, experiencing interfaith harmony during Iftar, to discovering the beauty of Batticaloa's historical landmarks, every moment was a step toward unity and understanding. ❤️🤝
The bonds formed over these two days were truly unforgettable. Here's to many more journeys of reconciliation, connection, and hope! 🌿🕊️

Batticaloa RC Wraps Up the 7th APPT Study Circle on OGBV!

On March 13, 2025, our trainees came together to explore the realities of Online Gender-Based Violence (OGBV). Through engaging discussions, they learned to differentiate s*x, s*xuality, and gender, while also uncovering the many faces of OGBV—trolling, memes, phishing, doxing, identity theft, catfishing, impersonation, and fake accounts.

Hearing their thoughts and reflections was a reminder of why these conversations matter. Every voice raised against online violence brings us closer to a safer, more inclusive digital world. ✨
